TGIF

With all our downs and sadnesses and attempts to kick depression to the curb, we often forget to acknowledge the good stuff.

Whattcha doing this weekend for fun/happiness/joy? And if you say nothing, then retrain your thinking!

I have been enjoying church Sunday mornings. Also, my women's basketball team plays in the Sweet 16. I hope to watch another recent movie... We have watched Dallas Buyer's Club and Being Llewyn Davis the past two nights. If my face clears some, I want to go to the pool and luxuriate in the warm water and get a good stretch on my back/legs.

While the past two week-ends did have some things cancelled ... there will be no cancelling of plans for today.

TGIF ....... great title!

Friday:

I'm going to a TGIF tonight at a local pub. It's being given by one of the members of a group of "over 50" (a few way over) singles ... that I used to belong to for years. I haven't seen any of them for at least a year. There probably are many members I don't even know now - but it's being out with people .... two-legged humans!!!!!!

And this morning, I'm meeting with the support group that focuses on spirituality. And it has implications that go beyond spirituality ... sort of!!! A long story with no short version!!!

Sunday night .... one of the last times I'll be talking with my daughter (by phone) before she leaves for Texas.

So ....... at least it's not a "do nothing" week-end!

Hmmm... if it's friday in Mars, i'd probably do something that only future me knows and then that future me goes to mars and be like "hey, you're gonna do this in the next 5 minutes" and i'd be like "how do you know ?" then when it happened 5 minutes later, i'd probably be pissing in my pants thinking that it's freakish yet awesome.

So far, I have dyed my hair, It seems to have some 'golden' highlights, I plan to post an acceptance invitation for a wedding, I should also post that poem for a competition :)

Well, I'm not doing anything super fun. But I'm getting things done to prepare for a busy week ahead. State testing is next week and it is a week from hell. I'm going to do house stuff and be lazy!! Sounds great to me!! :)

Went to a "cat show" this afternoon with my parents. My little kitty passed away about 3 weeks ago, and I sure do miss her. It was nice to get out and to see some furry little creatures. Got me thinking about getting another cat. Just have to make sure my health is a little better/more under control before I make that commitment. The rest of the weekend is for sleep and paperwork for 2 new docs this coming week. Nervous but excited!!

Woohoo, a walk! And cats!! My kind of day.

Actually, my day started with the toilet overflowing. So I spent a lot of time scrubbing, bleaching, and whatnot.

spent some quality time with my sis-law and was talking too much in the restaurant that one waiter actually came to us saying "eat fast, stop talking"...
