Are you in an anti-depressant? Have you gone through a depression before? Are there things that led up to the funk you're in? Medication can help. It's a great tool. Physical activities, journaling, talking with friends or family etc. A distraction would be nice right now. Do you work? Positive mantras to replace your idle time in your head- "I will get better", "I am getting better", things like that to replace the negative record in your head that keeps playing over and over.
I 100% understand what you're going through. I'm in it myself and it sucks. My therapist has advices me to try not to figure it out or overthink it (easier said than done, I know!), but it IS possible with constantly refocusing when you recognize the negativity. It's hard but it's a work in progress. Practice it, daily, hourly, minute by minute. Make it a life change. My husband said "never waste a good crisis", ie you can absolutely become better bc of this. You're not alone or crazy, you're "just depressed." It feels terrible I know but it truly is "just depression" and it never lasts. The right tools can speed along the process- therapy, meds, positive self talk, distractions, practicing gratitude, praying, physical exercise ETC.
Hang in there, it'll be ok before you know. Just use the tools and meds if possible to get through it!
Blessings, Lisa
