I said I will always be updating but I knda fell off. With more and more posts coming out I know this is probabley not gonna be read but im doing it to keep tabs on me for myself from time and time again so... lets start with my day; im overly frustrated with the ocurrences of being ramdomly bullied. I know it is a big school but that dosent excuse the lack of protection I am recieving. Today went down like this, @ lunch I was walking with people when one guy asked about my hair. His friend came from behind me and smacked me in my head. He then preceded to smack the vanilla popcorn i bought for 2 dollars out of my hand and wasted it. No cameras and I dont know there names so guess what.... i am stuck; I am constanly getting bullied and it is allowed so I am trapped from being turned over. I also request that, that be the new title. I say trapped from being turned over because I cant get out of school and the people there want me to get hurt. I am getting hurt right in front of myself. Well so much for "Highschool is better believe me."

i am sorry to hear this jay-j. this should not be happening in this day or age. if there is not a bully support network at your school then i urge you to start one. with numbers your voice will be heard and the bullies will have nowhere to to hide and will be found out. speak out i say. with numbers you have a voice and with a voice you have strength and with a voice you will be heard.

HT is so right.

I was bullied is school from elementary through high school. Just awful. The once thing I learned in life, later than I could have.

Is that bullies usually will stand down when faced head on!. They are cowards at heart. They are insecure people, looking for attention and pick on people so they look 'big' in front of their friends.

Yes you can start an 'anit-bulling' program in you school. Most likely many other students would join and appreciate your effort.

Meet with the Principle and let him/her know what is going on and if it is not taken care of you will go to the News stations and let them know how the school is run.

You have rights JJ. No one has to put up with this kind of abuse, and that is what bullying is, abuse.

You also have the right to press charges with the police when they hit you, that is battery.

Just some options for you.

*facepalm*   You know your school is against you when you are even being told by your counselor  to accept random bullying. I would start a club but there is a serious number of problems that ill go ahead and list:

1.The main reason people wont join the club is because I am black; people look at me and go "oh look another black kid" mad it really irks me

2.I would need the support of gay people but I dont exactly like people who are like so I tell them nope; I respect them but I dont like what they are doing plus about almost all girls are gay, its just a fact and my school probabley has about 2/3 gay people so.....

3. Nobody would interview me cause I am black and too many people would be disinterested

4. The principal probabley wouldnt let me start a group to begin with because I am freshmen

smhair   smhair smhair   The list goes on so as you can see I am "Trapped and turned over" < I want that to be the new title please

Anyway there is only one way out but people the moderaters here dont like when I discuss it, they might even delete my post if they feel like it.

ONE MAIN QUESTION; ANYONE FEEL FREE TO ANSWER IT

WHY IS THERE NO LONGER HELP FOR ME?

Jay, you are looking at all the negatives, try talking to somebody about this with authority. Can you switch schools if they allow bullying? Can you put an article in the newspaper? Letting people know what is going on???

Even if you don't like who the gay people are, don't turn down the support. You are cutting off your nose to spite your face in this matter.

You don't know that nobody would interview you because you are black. Seems like you are using excuses. You need to talk to the principal about the group. Work with people, don't assume the worst.

And no talking about that here, you know that. I know you feel like giving up, but don't. There are a lot of other people out there getting bullied. Maybe it is time to bring this to the attention of others. You would be surprised at how many people will support you.

Try to think positive, you will attract the positive when you do... Turn all the negatives around. Please...

We are trying to help you. You can edit the title/subject your self, click on the pencil top right hand corner of you post.

The truth of the matter is JJ, if you want tolerance from people, you have to be tolerant of others. This is the way life works. "Treat others the way you want to be treated"

I understand and empathize with your fears. However, to make things change; the negative thoughts must be pushed aside. 99.9% of what we are afraid will happen, never occurs. These are assumptions you have based on fears, they are NOT the Truth.

Please, go to the site I gave you in the last post. It will give you good information on where to start getting help. Who to contact and what other students are doing about bullying in their schools.

No one can save us, if we don't reach out.

Also go to our resource thread at the top of the forum 5 pages of information for self help links and numbers to call for crisis.

I dont make excuses for myself. I only look at the truth. I say I talk with authority only to be told they cant help me because of they didnt see it on camera. I am in school right now so time is limited but an update later tonight about what happened when I tried.

You are making a whole lot of assumptions about what might happen.

Being black and a freshman has nothing to do with it, so I do not buy your argument. If you want to do something, do it. That's it. Anything else IS an excuse as to why you don't have to deal with the problem. Talk to principal or guidance counselor. Is there a school police liason? They might be able to help, too. There are increasingly more anti-bullying school groups, and you can get in on the trend early.

Time to take responsibility for your own happiness. Stand up and tell them to stop. This is one of the things you are going to have to learn to do for yourself. No one else can do it. Stop giving the stupid people the power to determine your own happiness and your life.

Sitting in a high school with an active anti-bullying campaign, and yet I often see bullying in classes and in the hallway. It is a way to grab power when you have very little personal influence in life. It's not right, but that is not going to stop it from happening.

One of the best things I ever did was stand up for myself to the quartet of mean girls in the mid-80s. We got sent to the principal. He took one look at the five of us, and I was sent back to class. The mean girls were suspended for three days, apologized to me when they returned, and never bothered me again.

In defense of the school, it is hard to take action on a he said-she said event. There are two sides to every event, and without proof, there is little than can be realistically accomplished. Also, truth is not really true, you know. It is only relative, depending on where you are standing and what you see.

Transitions anywhere are hard. High school might be your first memorable one, but it will not be your last.

I know I am probabley gonna make people mad and they arent gonna want help me so I am not gonna force them too and everyone seems to have other people to help who are more important than me. This is why I dont like people. They will help those who are  to there liking and kick me out the door nono   well fine. I was gonna call it quits anyway so there is no need to worry about me. mad  

Oh and about my principal he only has time for more pressing matters so I have to schedule to meet him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad

That word says that you accept the bullying and the abuse as a way of life, you do not have to. I see the hurt behind the anger)

I am sure people have tried to help you in the past, you have just refused to do your part. Even a drowning man, has to do his part to be saved, and reach out for the life ring.

If you are not getting help from on place, try another. I did not see one word about the site I gave you to look at. No good or bad commentary. You judged it before you even read it. Help does not fall from the sky!

Right now it is being thrown at you, and you and ducking refusing to accept it. No one can be held responsible for this but yourself.

Jay-J, we have all been in your place. Every single last one of us. We made it out alive, and so will you. High school is NEVER fun, due to the cliques, the fads, the outcasts, the bullying, and several other things. It does get better in college.

You will make it through high school. But, you are going to have to deal with your habit of blaming others for your problems. Now, you are on your way to becoming an adult. You can choose the way you get there. You can try to make changes, and find what you enjoy and people you can enjoy and learn from. You can lead, and make yourself a great example for others. You can disappear into the crowd. Or, you can slip out of life by choosing to ignore and explain away everything.

You are going to miss a whole lot of good stuff that way. You are either trapped and have given up, or are trying to figure out how to help yourself.

I was horribly bullied in MS and HS. Poor white, heavy, smart, glasses, single-parent household. I decided, early on, to do things I had never done before. I joined the orchestra, and the concert choir. I took a drama class. By tenth grade, I was known as the theatre person in my class. My grades improved. I managed interpersonal relationships better, and learned to short-circuit the nasty people. Scholarship to college, grad school twice, and now in education.

Point being is, Dude, I empathize with your predicament. But you pity yourself, and need to pull on your big-boy pants (meant lovingly) and start acting like a responsible citizen.

Sure moderaters I will follow your advice..... or probabley not. The point being is yall fail to realize that not every situation is the same. I am still waiting on meeting the main principal to get this started so rest assure that I am putting in effort to make a change. I take offence when accused of lying and being told I pushed away helped when I never recieved it in the first place! I always act "responsible" as a person but when I am pushed around how could I now respond to it? i dont think anyone of yall are seeing my point. Not too many people came from my lifestyle *myself 09. Just gonna point that out

-shrugs- Perhaps not. But, I have taught for many years at an HBCU. I probably get what you are talking more than many others. And it's no fun trying to help someone who doesn't care about you.

No more suggestions. I am sorry you are angry, and hope you have a chance to get done all that you want.

How can you help yourself without new information on where to go?

For the recored, I did not read anywhere, that Myself stated your were lieing. This is a misinterpretation of yours caused by the state you are currently in emotionally.

Self sabatoging, pushing away help. Someday you will see it. We all have been in that spot too!

You can transfer you anger to use, fine, we can take it. Remember, under that anger is HURT, you need to face that hurt and where it came from before any of this gets better.

That is pretty low to say to me I am "self sabotaging." You moderators want me locked up like very other person who "need to face that hurt." It dosent matter, because I will try to see the people you want me to see. Since the principal dosent want to see me I will see other people. So I ask to receive the number and/or email of the people who can help me start a group in my school.
