We had a gas spill at a pretty major intersection. We are under warnings until this afternoon. Right now there's no damage here. I've been up most of the night because of tornado sirens. I'm hoping the day is very calm.

about to head to the hospital. I'm a bit nervous. I don't like the idea of having this surgery with all of this bad weather but I need to be able to swallow, darn it! I'll check back later. Be safe!

Hi everyone,

My life has been so busy and just getting me down lately that I have not even wanted to address it but today was the last straw.

My son as most of you all know has been a major pain in my booty for the past few weeks or so.

Well I am one week away from my school start date and he is worse than ever!!!!!!!

I cried on the way to school this morning because he called and said that he pooped himself!!!! at 8 yrs old really??????

I was driving while all of this was being said to me!! I was so off, I do not remember a lot of the drive into Modesto. That is scary as I was the dang driver.

I did pass like 7 or 8 more tests today, so I am almost done with the English and then it will be on to Math!!!! OH BOY!!!!!! I do not like math at all.

I hate to come on here after being gone for so long and then complain about my life as it is so retarted but I have no where else to turn. I hope that everyone is doing good tonight, today.

AV- Did you and hubbz get back together?

JAMIE- ARE YOU AT THE READY MY DEAR BROTHER IN ARMS? HOW ARE YOU SLEEPING MY DEAR?

Update:

Dad's surgery went well, as expected, except for the accidental nicking of the dura. Doc said it was easily repaired and don't expect further problems with it, but have to watch for spinal headaches just to be safe. Talked to him a bit in the evening, he sounds pretty good. Just having some trouble with nausea from the anesthesia, but that's typical for him and will get better with time. Said he actually threw up as his nurse was putting anti-nausea meds in his IV. Luckily he missed her! Guess he waited a bit too long to ask for those meds. Overall though, so far so good!

Appreciate the positive thoughts and prayers.

**I apologize if I already posted a similar update. My brain is a wee bit stressed and tired. It's now 4am, I'm thinking maybe time to attempt sleep again!

I am sorry that you are back in the hospital, I am glad that even though it is bad it is not too bad. be well my friend.

I do want to thank everyone for the advice, I have no clue what is going on in his little mind and
I have no clue what to do to help him.

Rob- I hope that things are getting better for you. I pray that the cancer is at the least staying at the same rate, I pray harder that it is going away.

JAMIE- I AM SORRY THAT YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL, I HOPE AND PRAY THAT YOU CAN SLEEP.

I had a friend experiencing similar trials and tribulations and vitamin B12 injections really helped her. Helped my mother with her fybromalgia immensly as well. not sure if this helps or not.

   AV ..... I hope everything is more reassuring for you - at least since you got into the hospital. I can relate only to having a blood vessel breaking in my sinuses about 15-years while I was home alone. It was panic for me having the blood gush out of my nose - then throat - then a 911 call.

   Am glad you're safe in a hospital - hope it's a relatively minor and a simple fix for you. Congrats on the coming SS check.

   JB1 ..... I remember having a total of 5-dentists in my lifetime. The first three were kind of old school dentists - two of them were decent and one was a butcher. But my latest one, a lady, is so nice and so in tune with the typical fears associated with a dentist. It really did make a positive difference going to her.

   Hope you can find some kind of an improvement in the dental process. And hoping for some good news on the finance front too.

   Thanks UA and Karen .... hope you're both good. Karen - I went to a Hickory smoked chicken place (family run) yesterday for a take out - and they actually had pot roast as a special. Have not had pot roast in 15-years. It was tender and lean (8oz.) with potatos/gravy + cut-up melons for a side dish .... excellent! Got to remember about this place!

Note:

   The news was not good from my blood tests. My PSA (reading) was more than doubled in just 7-weeks! A bad sign. I should be talking to my Oncologists office today - to determine what the next course of action might be.

   And I just got involved with a group by the name of the "Imerman Angels". It is a non-profit group that aids cancer victims by pairing up with another cancer victim who has gone thru similar treatments. It is intended to be a mentor pairing ... and seriously is needed at this point for me - even before yesterdays news.

   Gizmo is good - still going on daily rides - still getting into trouble with chewing stupid things - and still just a sweetheart deep down!!!

Rob, I am so sorry. I'm hoping the doctor has some good news for you. I hope Giz is being a big sweetheart! If there is anyway I can be of any help please let me know. I really admire the way you handle things. You are usually so at ease even with all the badness going on. It just isn't fair.

MissJD, I really think it would be a good idea to sit with your son's pediatrician. Kids adapt so well but sometimes it helps them to to talk to someone. He may just need some reassurance. Your pediatrician may know some things that may help. I know I told you that I took Cade to a dr to let him talk about things and it really helped. It may help your baby, too.

Jamie, I'm hoping you got some sleep.

Karen, poor Jasmine! Really hoping the vet has good news for you!

JB, it something about someone who puts their hands in your mouth for a living :p. Hope the dentist was good to you!

My chest hurts, but its better today. I am sleeping a lot because of different medicines and for once I am ok with it. I am looking at the positive side of things. Mojo has been very cuddly, he's snoring on my lap right now. He's so heavy that I had to move him around a bit to get comfy! He's 17 lbs of cat now. The almost ex has been waking me up to feed me jello every so often. Thanks for the thoughts. It was pretty scary Monday night but things are under control now. You guys really help keep me from dwelling on the negative and I can't say how good that is so thank you.

You know, I've had this image of who I aspire to be in my mind for a long time. I knew I was growing into a confident, independent woman. But there was more. Today for the first time, I was the person I aspire to be. I found a balance of mom, teacher, role model, counselor, friend. Today for the first time I said NO. Guess what, no body shot me or thought less of me! I'm learning to set boundaries which I've never been good at.

Today I felt like a balanced whole woman. Nice feeling. Does any of this make sense? Or have I lost my mind?

Gotta start the dishwasher and head nite-nite!
