Cymbalta 60 mg Once a Day

I just started taking Cymbalta 60 mg once a day for arthritis pain, and after reading about all the side effects, I'm totally freaked out about it. I am really tired when I take it and feel very spacy. Do you know if these symptoms go away after awhile? I have only been taking it for a few days. And also, I am in my 50's. Do I have more side effects to worry about as opposed to a younger person?

Cymbals is often prescribed for chronic pain. I have fibromyalgia, and it is prescribed for that a lot. I, myself, do not take it. I understand it is a hard med to come off of if you take it a long time.

I think you are having side effects that will go away. But because I don't take it, I hate to say.

There are others here that do take it, I am sure they will post.

Hi, I am 53 I started taking cymbalta at 60mg for nerve pain in my head at the age of 51. Worked well. at 52 thy doubled the dose due to depression, caused by recalled abuse memories. This also worked well.

My arthritis I have to say does not bother me as much as it use to.

do not worry so much about the side effects, few people get them.
The only one I experience is the nausea, easily fixed by taking with food or yogurt and drinking plenty of water through out the day. At least 8 glasses of about 8-10oz each.
