Day 20 on Sertaline/Zoloft and it is not getting any better :(

I am fine today, thank you for asking, going through a lot of stuff but trying not to let it get me too down.

getting by: Yes, I've tried 1/2 the dose of sleeping pill but it still makes me so drowsy, I find reading eventually knocks me out :)

Thank you for your posts.

Today I felt okay earlier but feel spaced out tonight, I think I am worried as I have two weddings to DJ at this weekend and I am worried that I will feel out of it and not be able to get through them. I really feel like I am losing touch with myself and my thoughts a bit more each day but it could just be anxiety doing it. I just want to feel normal and be able to get exited about the things I used to :( ....I honestly keep thinking that I am not going to get better, been taking those Sertraline for over 3 weeks now and I dont know if I can do this anymore.

Thanks Karen, I just feel so out of it at times and I am scared that I am going crazy. Surely that cant happen with anxiety though can it? x

My doctor wont give me anything apart from sleeping tablets but I took one tonight and I dont think I was tired enough as it didnt work lol

Earlier I felt really out of it and this is the worst part for me. By the time I have my brain scan next week, I would have been on the tablets for over a month so I will hopefully switch to either Citoalaplam or Prozac as I was on that when I was 16 and it worked for me.

I usually leave the tele on when I am going to sleep as it helps keep my mind off things a bit.

Bad night tonight, I am here at the wedding but I feel so out of it......really starting to think this is something serious now as I feel like I am in a dream :(

Its really hard to explain, I just feel out of it but I know whats real and whats not but I am shaky and feel like in a daze.....I have to stay here till 11pm xx

It could be your brains way of coping. But if it continues, I would talk to your doctor about it.

I hope you will be alright. Can you call the doc today? Just to talk? Or maybe get some reassurance.

Wow I would totally be careful upping Zoloft to that dose without talking with your doctor. Zoloft was an incredible medication for me, and I did not see results in the first few weeks, but it was an incredible medication when it started working, but my doctor upped me very slowly. I have heard of people taking large doses of Zoloft like 150 mg(possibly 200mg)but I don't think my doctor would ever increase me that quickly.

Zoloft on a high dose made me very very shaky and I had to end up quitting that medication altogether, because my body could not tolerate any dose higher than 100 mg. I would be very careful adjusting your own medication, but then again I freak out when my own doctor adjusts mine and he is very methodical in his approaches to my care.

Hope you are okay? were you okay last night?

I know the cloudy feeling and the dissociation, I don't get that anymore on my med though but been through it on others.

Are you going to see your Dr pretty soon after the brain scan so you can let him know how you're still feeling?

Mother's Day tomorrow so shall be gone all day but will check in on you Monday :)

Definitely see your doctor about that. I wouldn't overeact, but it is a bit concerning.
