Hello All,
I'm new to this forum so please bear with me. about 5 yrs ago I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy in my foot. (I am not diabetic). It is now in both feet. I had been taking gabapentin and amitriptalyne for the pain, which took the edge off the pain, but it was still there. about three weeks ago I woke up with ringing in my ears - tinnitus. It had me down for a few days, so I went to the doc and he put me on cymbalta (20mg x2) and stopped the amitriptalyne. The cymbalta got me out of my funk fairly quickly, but now the burning pain in my feet is starting to get worse. The doc increased my dosage to 30mg x2 and am taking gabapentin 400mg x 3 per day. Still feeling a bit nauseous and don't have much of an appetite. By the way, the tinnitus is still there, but you can get used to it. You just have to not think about it. I'm 70 yrs and in good health, otherwise. I hope to hear from others with similar problems/solutions. Thanks
Jack
