Hi everyone -
I have had depression most of my life, and it is worse now than it has ever been. My psychiatrist is now highly recommending Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment.
I have read many accounts of people who have had success with TMS, I've even searched & read all accounts of people in this forum who have mentioned it. I've read studies, pros and cons, etc. from personal accounts as well as what the FDA and the CDC have to say about it.
I know it's costly and many insurance companies will not cover it, or if they do cover it it's after much hassle.
Now I'm looking for real, live people here who have actually tried TMS! Anyone? I would love to ask some questions from people experienced with TMS.
Such as, did you still have to take anti-depressants afterward? Did you complete the full 36 sessions of treatment? Given the same circumstances, would you do it again? Anyone try it and have bad results? And probably more questions will arise after that...
Thanks so much,
Lynnwood
