I was using sertraline 100mg and recently went to a pain doctor for unexplained pain in my stomache so they had me take 1/2 my sertraline and a 30 mg cymbalta for one week and was not tired then the second week had me taking 60mg of cymbalta and no sertraline I have been very tired during the day , was not told to take it in the morning or evening and I've been seeing most people say take it at night, I'm worried if I take it at night that I will have my pains again in my stomache but I can't go on being tired all day please help!

I took my cymbalta in the morning and it worked just fine for me. Did your dr say the sertraline was causing the stomach problem? You may just need an antacid because some medications can cause reflux.

Doc thinks it's either they had cut through a nerve while doing my gallbladder surgery about 2 yrs ago or I have a hernia, which I'm trying the cymbalta due to the cost of a CT scan and so far the cymbalta seems to be helping not having as much pain except when I forget to take it

It takes time to become accustomed to any new med. Give it time. It's odd that they prescribed Cymbalta for stomach pain, but it is normal to stop sertaline when taking cymbalta. The two together can make you at risk for potential interactions. If it is a nerve issue, then it makes sense.

So, remember to take it! -grins-
