new to cipralex (10mg) and curious. ..

Hi guys.. so im new to this and just have a few questions for anyone who may be taking cipralex. . I have only been taking it for two days now (I know it takes a few weeks for full effect) but I am just wondering if what im feeling is normal. The last two days (I have taken it at night) I have woken up absolutely exhausted. .. I have anxiety and mild ocd as well.. I am constantly moving and getting things done (I have an 18 month old) however for the last two days I cant even move untill 11 oclock... I wake up and get my little one fed and changed and all of the "normal" morning things. .. then I find myself on the couch in a haze feeling like I haven't slept in a week. I have no energy and feel like im in a huge fog. Will this pass quickly? Any tips or suggestions on when is the best time to take this medication? Help!

Hi there,

Welcome to the forum.

I believe it takes a week or two for these side effects to go away. Try to be patient, but if it becomes too bothersome, do call your doctor's office. I do believe that mild fatigue is a side effect. I don't take this specific medication, but from what I have read, what you are experiencing is normal. But always, if it is too much, do call your doc.

I hope that the cipralex works well for you. It is no fun being depressed.
