Please let me know if I am the problem

I am going to try to make this brief, for a few years me and my sister have not been very close, she went through her hard times(divorce), and I tried to be there for her, she came over once and I said we need to go out for coffee or something, well she never came back and started hanging out with my cousin, who I don't like.

We got over that issue, and we are face book friends, so just recently I noticed she never EVER comments or likes any of my posts, so I asked her by message If I have done anything to offend her I am sorry and told her that I noticed she never posts on my comments or pics, that I love her very much and wish we were closer, her response "I don't see your posts and I work 12 hour days". So I wrote her back and said "well that didn't answer my question but Okay", she then writes me back and says "I don't even know where this is coming from", I said it is coming from me, and that she will not even tell me she loves me, not that I need her to, but typically when someone tells you they love you if you love them you tell them back.

So I wrote a very nice response back and said I had apologized to her for something my 27 year old daughter did and she never even wrote me back.

She then wrote me and said, "well to be honest I don't like commenting on your posts because there is always some disaster made out of it"(not by me but others)

I said" Well thank you for finally being honest with me, but I don't think liking a picture of a dog of like a funny status is going to cause a disaster...." and went on about a few other things.

In my mind her behavior was very passive-aggressive and she made me feel like crap, am I blowing this out of proportion, she probably ran and told my mom and I hate to know my Mom may be upset with me, but in many peoples eyes my sister does no wrong, I was always the bad one, the failure, the one that amounted to nothing.

My depression has been off the chart about this.

No, thank you Karen, I love honesty and would rather some one tell me the truth than make me seem like I am okay. I think I have always wanted to be accepted, and let's face it, not everyone is going to like me. It has almost driven me crazy today, I haven't been able to get out of bed till just now. I really think I have more issues than I admit to.

I think you telling her how you feel is natural and good. She needs to know how you feel due to her actions. Now she can either change them to help cause less harm, or explain why she does what she does.

I think Facebook causes a lot of undue stress. I hope she shows you respect and love online and in the flesh. I know when I'm. Depressed its hard to be confident and strong. Right now you might just be feeling some pain that she might or might not know hurts you.

I think part of this problem is communicating through facebook. The written word doesn't communicate as effectively as speech. Why don't you call her and ask about going to dinner, a movie, or something else?

Seeing from her point of view, she gets home from a long day at work and wants to relax. In the past commenting on your facebook stuff has caused trouble so she probably doesn't want to go through it again. I really think calling her and meeting up would be best. Try to keep things relaxed. Tell her that you want a better relationship with her. Do this calmly and be reasonable with your expectations.

You keep on living your life, easy to say don't let it bother you, I so agree with Trina, try not contacting her for a while, honestly when we hardly had any contact I felt so much better.
