Karen, we have been watching Shark week. My daughter loves animal documentaries. She says she is going to be a vet.

Rob, I hope you have found something you can eat. Mojo drags his food bowl around when its empty. He used to do that with his water, too. Mojo is picky about water so I finally got one of those bowls that keeps the water moving at all times. He loves it.

Michele, I had a migraine yesterday, too. I always have what I call a "remnant" headache the day after. Its not a normal headache maybe you get the same thing.

Bernie is very sick. He wouldn't eat much over the weekend and has been listless. I took him to the vet and am waiting to hear back. I think he's got more urinary crystals. I'm worried about him. You can tell he just really doesnt feel well.

I did not want to go to the "party," to be honest. I was very tired, am not crazy about small talk, and I'm basically a homebody. But, I knew my husband would enjoy it...and after getting there, so did I. Sometimes it's just DOING it, right?

And speaking of house cleaning, my daughter called yesterday and wants to come visit this weekend, so I need to start a whirlwind of cleaning. Oh Energy, where art thou???

Something is seriously wrong with this forum site.

I wrote a very long post - and when clicking to "submit" ......

   I message came up saying the post was too long.

   Only 2000 bytes can be handled.

   My  post was 4900 bytes long.

   It was easily a 30-minute or longer post.

So - of course, I lost everything.

This is the first time I've ever seen a message like that and it seemed to be generated by HW.

Anyone else having this difficulty????

I have never had that happen Rob. Maybe it is the bandwidth. What ever that is...

It is so frustrating to lose a post. Some people make a draft incase something happens. But I have never had it say a post was too long, though I have had issues on losing posts before.

I hope you all have a good day today. I got one batch of grape wine started and cooked breakfast, now I need to mop my floors but they are talking rain so I am little hesitant.

Bernie is around 3. He's a stray that was brought to our vet by one of the vet techs. A man had chased Bernie out of his yard using a weed eater. The weed eater took off the top third to half of Bernie's tail. He is a beautiful, long haired black cat and we all adore him. He is so laid back and sweet. He is constantly wagging his stubby tail.

We did change him to a different food. He is on a wet food only diet. For some reason, Bernie doesn't drink much water and that is causing these stones to form. The vet has an IV right now. He thinks once we get these stones out that the combo of the wet food and a new medication (it will lower the acidity of his urine) should fix this problem. Our vet is wonderful and has been sending me updates and pictures. They have Bernie set up with blankets and pillows in the reception area so they can keep him company.

I knew he was off this weekend. He sleeps in between the ex and me but he wasn't jumping on the bed. He was lying on the tile in the laundry area. He is usually very active and loving but didn't want to do anything. I went and got duck (he loves duck) and he only took a few bites. I put a blanket I'm the laundry room for him and he never moved from it. He's running a fever. I'm worried about him. It doesn't feel like home without Bernie.

Yay I made the first page, ok I will try to keep up.

AV- I am very sorry to hear that your furbaby is not well. My kitty doesnt seem to drink lots of water either, but she sneaks it! I am not sure why. I hope he feels better soon.

Karen- Yummy wine! Lol I hope all turns out well.Keeping up with the threads is getting harder but I try my best. I love animals but do not like shark week, that just makes me never want to go to the ocean. Lol I am a chicken.

Myself- I hope that your phone calls go good today. I do not like to talk on the phone, I would rather text. I am such a techie I guess. Lol

Rob- I have had my posts get lost, but never say that I wrote too much. Strange... I hope that you are feeling better. Hugs and kisses for you and Giz.

Jan- I love it when family visits but the cleaning I could do without. I hurt so much that it is hard to do anymore. Slow and steady hun.

In bed, AC on 68. No lights or sound. Migraine is twice as bad. Posted on a FB to see if my friends have any home remedies. I've taken/ tried everything. Do you have any suggestions?

My aunt closes the house down and takes excedrin. Sorry about the spelling. She also uses cold compress and an anti- inflammtory. She has gotten such bad ones that she has to get a shot to help it. Im sorry that I am no help at all Chelel.

Karen- Thanks. I hate to fall behind but sometimes I cant help it. My nerve is un-pinched yay but now my anxiety is kinda high. Dad doesnt feel well and this bothers me very much.

So tired. I will be going to sleep soon, didnt want to fall too far behind. Stay strong and healthy everyone.

   Gizmo did see 5 dogs this morning on our coffee run - and it's so dark here. Looks like rain I guess.

   AV ..... hope Bernie is better. Just found out about his bladder this morning.

   HT ..... darn wasps! In these parts, September is the month to watch for them as they get more aggressive.

   Michele ..... sorry I have no suggestions for the migraines. It's one of the things I've never had - if sinus headaches don't count!

   Jessica D ..... hope your Dad is better. How's Little league?

   I sent out a little funny joke about men yesterday to a few of you - just hoping for a smile. I didn't realize that a couple of you are going thru some bad things right now - didn't know it at the time! Sorry!

   Gizmo absolutely woke me up at 6am this morning - wanting more space on the sofa - so he could spread out! Poor dear!!!!

 

Very selfish post here.

This morning I dropped off my 14 year old beloved shih tzu Scooter at the vet to be put to sleep. Whether you are for or against euthanasia, this is not the place or the time to judge my decision.

He was sick and frail and lately I think his pain was worse. It was the hardest decision I've ever made. I went alone because no one could bear to come with me. I just held him and sobbed and kissed him as we drove to the vet.

I know I've done the right thing but it doesn't make it any easier. Please keep my family in your thoughts today. It's going to be an emotional one.
