Side effect of Lithium?

lately I've been feeling like I want to crawl out of my skin. I've had two recent new meds one is Synthroid and the other Lithium. I think it's the Lithium. I'm going to start tapering off on it. Has anyone else felt this way on Lithium?

Sometimes the side effects go away in a couple of weeks, but I have never taken lithium so I am not familiar with it. There are others here who have. What does your doc say???

I've been on the Lithium for about 6 weeks. I don't like the way it makes me feel. I haven't talked to my doc yet about coming off of it. I'm supposed to see a psychiatrist this coming up week I will talk to him.

I would let him know how it is making you feel. And find out if that is normal in the beginning. We do have other members who have taken lithium, hopefully they will respond.
