It has been awhile since our creative minds have been challenged. The book club I think went into hybernation, so here I start another thread...

i always put my one up. this came about with me in a crisis centre when the lady went out of the room. i wrote on the white board 'yesterday is a butterfly without wings'.

i'll attempt a poem right now out the top of my cranium!!!

no title.

in memory of irene.

the very plausible,
optimistic of time,
contentment in faith-
longing for days of peace,
cry does my soul,
forgotten we not-
i unburden my heart.
tomorrow is today;
the butterfly kisses,
warm rays of rainbows,
no more pain.
yesterday-
forever we remain.
today i reflect
no more tears in the rain.

So Very Awesome! To think that some people see heavy metal artists as people with no souls. intolerance is such a sad thing.

you will be amazed what they sing about, the soul and depth of there words in a heavy yet beautiful tone will amaze you. some tracks of loss and love are gut wrenching and peaceful. thx trina. i think irene gives it the okay.

this came to me after a particularly dark time

NO CRISIS

Storm came quick and fast
shook me down to my roots
rolled up in a ball, as the
gray bugs do, hoped i could last

waited~

Cornerstone was now strong
friendship came welcomed
not turned away!
Standing strong I bravely stared
facing down the relentless darkness
that thought I cared.

and I waited more~

Cold as ice, black as night
my faith was tested bad,
it faultered, was tested again,
to softly, astoundingly rise on the
breath of dawns new light.

rejoiced.
