Hi Display, I thought you were younger than me, I am 55.
My mother always did that too, and she preached 8 hours of sleep. For years I had to have that eight hours, but now I sleep six. Allow yourself to sleep in now and again, but try not to make a habit of sleeping too much. I mean as in staying in bed all day. I did that for a couple of years. When I first got the fibromyalgia. I was pretty depressed too. Just don't give into doing it everyday. But do allow yourself to sleep in once in awhile with no guilt. You will eventually work past it. I do understand how it feels though to feel trapped by something like that.
