I just wanted to say hi. I suffered from depressions for years. I am still on meds and always will be. I have wonderful Dr's and a therapist that help me. I have been through the hell but I am better now than I ever have been. I am here to say, there is hope.
I hope to see you on the board.

Welcome, CH! It is good to hear another story.
I have a familial history of anxiety and depression, will also take meds for as long as I can. I am on the down slope (IhopeIhopeIhope) of a serious depressive episode lasting a few years.
I find it comforting to know that I manage how I perceive my life and my surroundings.

Hello CH and welcome to the forum.
Thank you for the inspiration to other that the darkness does end in time, life goes on.
Most of us are on meds for life, for one reason or another. We have to learn to use coping skills due to the fact that meds do not take care of the issue 100%.
If you use coping skills, would you mind sharing what you do to help yourself stay grounded?
Thank you.
Peace
Trina
