I had been on Cymbalta for 4 years - starting with 60 mg daily, then up to 90, and finally up to 120 mg daily. I decided with God's help to go "cold-turkey" last Thursday 9/25/2014. So far my worst symptom is a general brain fog. I feel joyful at my core but with a layer of fog on top - and sometimes I feel like I'm squinting through my eyes (probably am). By coincidence I had just begun taking some supplements recommended by a guest on a tv show for probably 3 weeks before quitting the Cymbalta. I'm not recommending these supplements for everyone or anyone - just sharing what I'm taking as I believe they are helping me: Selenium, IP-6, Kelp, Green tea extract, Black Raspberry capsules.
After reading the posts on this by others in threads going back to 2007, I will also begin taking fish oil capsules as soon as I can get to the store!
Drinking coffee is also helping with the fog somewhat. I haven't experienced the brain zaps yet.
