This is going to expose my inner geek, but I dig elections. I finally bit the bullet and bought digital access to the WashingtonPost, largely so I could get elections returns properly.

I remember those days when I BELIEVED that my vote would make a difference.  I will say, though, that if I fail to perform my duty to vote...I have no right to complain about policy...or anything else.  As if my family gatherings aren't contentious enough...We cannot discuss politics, religion or FOOTBALL...LSU, Razorbacks, Rebels...

Politics give me wild mushroom soup.

i sent my fiance her birthday card, gifts and little doodle drawings to her in the post today. made me feel good. post is expensive, although it is going from australia to the uk!!!!!!!!!! i said g'day to my sis as well. happy thread. me like.

I too feel excited on election days! My husband and I went and voted Tues then out for a relaxing dinner of wings & salads.

Today it's gray and rainy out but I did hear the geese honking on our lake this morning and it made me smile. This afternoon I'm getting my hair colored so no more grays = happy me :-)

Nice things about today-

1) I woke up so I am still alive and am blessed to have another day with those I love!
2) It's beautiful outside!!! Cold front is coming this week too!
3) My daughter is coming home!
4) In just a bit, my house will be clean and I can relax and grade papers and work the rest of the weekend (this isn't a bad thing- it will get me organized for the week.

It's a cool, sunny and gorgeous Fall day with leaves blowing 'round like snow storm...Another cold front coming through this week, leaving highs in 40's...Br-r-r-r for us.

Stayed in bed til 12:18pm. Sign I am not myself quite yet. Still have work to do.

Mixed dark brew coffee with pumpkin Latte, also bad with Pump has artifical stuff in it.

Will be good this afternoon with veggie fruit smoothie. And depression group tonight.

Listening to calming celcticmusic live streaming.... nice.

Dogs on tethers; peace it is so nice....

Good things? Well, 2 come to mind right off the bat.

I was able to get on *my* computer for the first time in over a year. This is notable because I have had to use my daughter's pc due to a damaged video card and some hardware that apparently was not seated properly. I love when I can fix something and not have to bring it in somewhere (even if that makes me go a year without it). Second, my kitty is cuddling with me. It always makes me feel so warm and cozy when he does that. :)

good to see some lurkers posting. that's a nice thing. the sun was out, that was nice. i did do a nice thing. my therapist was running very late. not even in the building. i cut my session short, as he had other appts, a group to facilitate 3 hours away later that day. he had a big day yesterday traveling the state and said he hit the pillow at midnight. i said call me-i will make it another time, but he had others. he is a good man. we reciprocate. his shout for a coffee, maybe!!
