Hey Chelel...Me, too (same, but different)
I'm just SO SAD and I'm even more sick in my stomach than usual. I posted this topic a few weeks ago, but felt it was treated like "taboo". Not to be a bee-otch, but this IS a depression forum, isn't it? My family (or lack thereof) is not only the ROOT, but the bark, the branches, the limbs and the leaves of disappointment and sadness. I always joke that if you shake my family tree, a whole bunch of nuts would fall out.
(((HUGS)))
I'm here, girl. My email is available. So am I...anytime you need me=)

Oh, and Chelel, I also understand what you mean by the "volunteer, occupy myself" remark. I DO SO MUCH of that (not only with the holidays, but all year long) I am depleted...yet still lonely. It warmed my heart to read that you are having dinner out with your dad on Thanksgiving/Birthday.
Even with my macabre sense of humor...I promise no, um-m "turkey day/birthday jokes".
