I agree with AngelLisa...
Your symptoms are definitely classic depression symptoms, many of which I get with depression. There are articles online that give you the list of symptoms of depression. I had many of them when I was very depressed.
I see a psychiatrist for meds & a therapist (talk therapy), to treat my depression. The combo of both really help me. Some people can be treated with therapy only, it just takes longer to get over it in my opinion. I'm not a med pusher but they really are great when you find the right one.
My first suggestion would be to find a therapist covered by your insurance. You can talk to them about
meds & if they think it would help you & you agree, they can refer you to a psychiatrist. Psych's are the best bc they're specialists in brain medications.
You are making a brave first step admitting your issues and wanting help.
You can be helped & find happiness again. It's going to take a bit of work but it's worth it. Depression is very treatable.
Does your wife know you're depressed? Having a supportive partner is very helpful.
Check out the depression resources at the top of this forum. Tomorrow is Monday & I encourage you to make some phone calls tmr. The sooner you get treated, the sooner you can find happiness again (and you will)!
Welcome to this forum. We'll support you every step of the way
Sending much peace & healing-
