Dixie- Oh, I wish we lived closer too! Your reply was perfect! I seriously don't mind being alone for a while but then I need human interaction. This is why summers are hard for me. I am praying I can get a college class this summer and teach- its a good balance of summer and human interaction for me.

Well, I am about to fix a no carb breakfast and then tackle college work all day. This is taking a lot longer than I thought it would.

If anyone sees the sun, can you send it my way, even if just for 10 mins? It's been cold, gloomy, and rainy for 12 straight days now. Rain expected again today. I am sure this is not helping me at all!

Hey Chel...Sorry to hear that.  It's everywhere!  It's everywhere!  Can you get her some Tamiflu?  If she can start the anti-virals within 36 hours of onset, "they say" it shortens the duration of suffering.  Poor thing...and you will now be exposed.  Unpack the hazmat suit for your shield and flail the Lysol as your sword!  We have been practically "bathing" in Germ-X this season.

Trina, I'm totally jealous of the king bed. We want one so badly! I hope you got a good deal.

Chele - I hope your daughter feels better soon. A hot rag really feels amazing to a cold! I've been pretty sick - it's freezing down here in the desert and the flu is going around.

I'm excited guys; got my teaching certificate updated, taking a community college class to add another subject area to my certificate and looking forward to a new start in education with a clear perspective of where I have been and how much teaching is for me! I can be that person and I can help people! Just hope I can find a new job in the summer. Wish me luck. Taking a major pay cut, but I need to be happy at work and feel appreciated. Strangely, I felt 500% more of both of those things when I was teaching than where I am now. But the perspective is good. I feel like I will go back into it with a new viewpoint.

Has anyone heard from Jan? I'm still worried about her.

Hi all

I am so tired. I was very depressed yesterday. I did a very big boo boo last month. I WAY over spent on Christmas and couldn't pay my cell bill!!!!!!!!! My parent's paid the bill yesterday, but it makes things very tight for them and I felt like such a dumb &^%$ for doing that. I hate to not pay my bills on time and I was just very sad and beat the poop out of myself for it.

Well I am going to finish my laundry and then go to bed. Have a good one.

Karen- Hello my friend, My sister works for the Kohl's distrabution center that is local and she gets a discount but we never use it because Kohls is expensive! Lol Hope you have something good for the bucks!

Wow, a nap yesterday afternoon threw off my sleeping schedule

A mom, had been making cookies which called for melted chocolate, but she was in a rush and just tossed bits in, hoping they'd melt.  
….And of course, everyone loved them, and the chocolate chip cookie was born.

The lady's name was Ruth Wakefield, she owned the Toll House Inn in Whitman, Mass.
The cookies caught on so well locally that sales of Nestle chocolate bars went way up in that area.
Nestle sent somebody to find out what was going on, and then they started making the bars with score lines so they could be broken.

It was sometime later that they came up with the idea of chips.
