You and I are both up early Joyce. Hubby woke me up telling the dog to move, she was in the middle of the bed sprawled out. Pushing us both over the edge. Ha!!!

I have been MIA a while.

Joyce, don't stop the groaners ever! I stalk when I don't have time to post and they always make me smile. I am glad kitty is getting better.

Hi Karen! Hi Jamie! Hi UA and everyone else. Yes, the forum has been extremely quiet lately. Makes me wonder why...

Oh well!

I am ok. Really fighting the back pain. Doc appt tomorrow with pain doc. We will see what happens.

Nothing else really going on right now. Depression has been creeping in lately but I am holding it back. The pain doesn't help with depression fight.

Tuesday, I start teaching college 4 nights a week. And now I am tutoring 2 high school students. I am frightened I will not be able to keep up with 3 jobs. Guess it just really depends on the health of my back. Financially, I have to do it all. I will just repeat it is only for 16 weeks- lol!

My son has 2 more weeks and then he is back at his school. Things have been ok for now. We will see how long it continues. My daughter confided in me that she hates living at her dads. The main issue is that she has no friends over there, or not many. And her dad is a bit more strict than I am- lol! We will see how this semester progresses.

Well off to get ready for the day. I have to work on college stuff all day.

Michelle, ....Thanks for the kind words...I'll keep those smiler/groaner things coming as long as my eyes and fingers hold out.

Glad you posted again. It has been quiet. I thought folks would have more time to 'chat' when the weather was lousy...but, maybe they are busy shoveling snow.

Sorry to learn you have a back problem. That can really limit activity. Let us know what the doctor says.

Hope all your teaching goes smoothly, and don't work TOO hard.

The minors wore red bandanas so they would not shoot each other.

Good idea!

It would show support for the Mountain, Blair Mountain. The coal companies want to strip mine it now. Historical societies are trying to save it. They have found over 3,000 shot gun shells and confirmed 200 miners died over 5 days of fighting back in 1921.

Hi my friends-

Well I went to my pain doctor appt today. I haven't seen him since 2010. Everyone hugged me including him (not sure if it is a good thing they all remember me or not- lol).

He spent 35 mins with me looking back at all of my old scans and reports trying to see if there was a pattern. After he looked at my mri, he walked in and said "sweetie, you are in severe pain aren't you?". At least it validated me.

We are going to start steroid injections this Friday. It is a minor surgery and I will be put to sleep. Because of my existing fusion, he has to go in from my sides and I am not sure how that is going to feel. I've had 5 rounds of these injections before with my old back problems and they didn't help then. But, this is a different problem so I figure it is worth a shot. We will do them every two weeks. He did say that no doctor in their right mind would recommend more back surgery. He said if they did, turn around and walk out!

So here we start a new "back" journey. I am very blessed to have a supportive medical team.

Well, off I go to meet someone for coffee.

Hello all!

Wow I feel like a newbie, been so long. So much has been going on here I barely have a moment to potty anymore.lol I have been tired and out and about a ton the past couple of weeks. I have been dealing with 2.5 numb fingers in my left hand. Carpal tunnel. So I go to doc on monday. Trying to get back into a routine and it's not going very easy. Hoping that things will calm down soon though. I wanted to come and see how everyone is. Hope to be back soon.
