Wing,
don't know if you saw thing on your other post. So I will copy it here:
I am sorry that is dark and foreboding for Pb4 and Wing.
I know how you both feel, I was abused for 15 year by 4 members of my family.
Darkness comes a lot to me, giving in seems so easy, as if it is the only answer. BUT IT IS NOT.
I have daily nerve pain in my head, neck and upper back from the abuse along with the other dx you can see in my signature. Chronic pain CAN be managed and learned to live with. So can horried memories.
If you were strong enough to survive, you are strong enough to stay.
I use mindfulness as a cornerstone tool. Takes some practice, however, it helps reduce pain, anxiety, emotional unbalance and reduces my dissocciation episodes.
www.mindful.org
is the website I use.
Also if you do not want to or can not see a therapist I suggest reviewing the following site
moodgym.com
We all have to be proactive in our healing and reducing our suffering. No one can do it for us.
There is a wonderful short book I have entitled 'NO MUD, NO LOTUS' it talks about suffering and how we can use it to find happiness possibly joy in living. Yeah, I thought what you are thinking. You have to read the book, you might just change those negative reactions like I did.
I wish you comfort and strength
Trina
