Scramble is a toughie today. Maybe will last the whole week.
Jamie, Queen's birthday is being celebrated with parade today.

Morning All-

Thunderstorms all day today. Good day for housework.

We were supposed to go to my dads today but he called worried about flooding. So, we will go a different day.

I've met someone online and the last few weeks have been super. I chatted with his kids last night, 8 boy and 10 girl. They were precious. Reminded me of my kids at that age. We haven't met in person yet. They left for vacation today and we are planning on meeting when they return. Things happen when you least expect it....

Off to throw in some laundry!!

Yep... Scrabble is tough. I can't figure out any of the remaining ones.

Busy day at home doing stuff for work. Just spent the last 2 hours completing my online orientation program for school. I'm glad it's completed.

My niece birthday is tomorrow and they have invited us for lunch. I didn't get get anything so I will give her a card and the cash.
Heading to finish up stuff for work. It just started raining here...

Well, a storm is headed towards Texas. Joy. Hurricane hunters are flying into it today.

It's storming here in Mississippi, too. I cleaned my mom's house this morning. I don't like to be idle. Congrats on meeting a nice guy, Chele! I hope it works out for you.

Things here are still very tense. I'm ready to go home. I'm trying to be helpful and caring toward my sister because I know she's hurting. I keep having resentful thoughts, though. When I got divorced my sister chose my ex over me and was incredibly cruel (name calling, hateful messages, spreading lies). I felt very alone through both divorces. Nobody in my family even so much as called. Now that my sister is going through it everybody in the family is just jumping at the chance to help her. I don't begrudge the help, it just makes me feel like I must not be important to any of them. Its upsetting that she was so mean but now that she's going through it I'm supposed to drop my plans and help her. I've had all of her kids every day and she told me that I need to put off my knee placement because she will need full time child care.

I don't want to make things worse for her. I know she's hurting. I just find myself running out of patience and having a hard time holding my tongue. She was on crack for a while and had the nerve to say she was a better mother than me. Part of me really would like to say what I'm thinking but it would just make everyone mad at me.

Good morning-

Well, after Steven and I went to dinner last night, we headed to the store to get "storm" supplies. Then we picked up everything outside.

This morning they are saying that even though landfall won't be in Houston, we will be on the East side which isn't good. Heavy rains and flooding expected. I am supposed to go to a seminar on the other side of Houston tomorrow- I think NOT!

Well, the storm is getting closer. The grocery stores, gas stations, and liquor stores were packed when I went out a bit ago.

I went to the doctor and got a shot of Torradol but it's not helping. My pain level is at a 9. So far, college is still open for tonight. I am praying it closes!

Good AM. Hope those in weather's way are safe and sound. We have getting massive storms in the afternoon and at night. The river is very high, but the farmers love it.

Michelle, that sounds like snow panic we have around here. Hope it wasn't too bad.

Not too much happening. I have an easy assignment for the next few days, and plan to get in some applications. The last day is Thursday.

Hello everybody. We've been having a run of cloudy, rainy days keeping me indoors and restless! Night before last, I stepped on a bee or a wasp on my kitchen floor! I got the stinger out and took 2 Benadryl. Today I still have an itchy lump on the ball of my foot, just where the arch starts. ARGH! I'm careful outside of course, but who thinks about being barefoot INSIDE!?

My daughter has finished with the 'repeat' testing and has done part one of the next phase of testing for the Cushing's Disease. Depending on the results, her doctor will call in part two to the pharmacy and she will keep going. Still haven't heard if the neurosurgeon wants another MRI.

The garden continues to flourish and I should be harvesting some sugar snap peas this week. Fresh veggies always help my mood! Should have a bumper crop of tomatoes with this humid weather!

Of course, the weeds love it too, so I will be busy once the rain stops.

Hi everyone!!

The rain from the tropical storm is just now starting in my area. The storm stalled and they are saying instead of a one day event, it could very easily span into late tomorrow evening. Not good news.

The kids left with their dad today for Lubbock. I'm sure they will have a super time.

Not much on my to-do list today.

Pitmom-Once, at a summer camp,a kid swallowed a bee that had flown into a can of soda. He got stung on the inside of his throat.Hope it feels better.

Hope TX is recovering, Michelle. Every day I ride past the river here,and check the levels. We have been rainy, and it is so high. However, we are built to mostly handle it.

Last day of school for High School. Tomorrow is a short day for middle school. Yesterday,a Spanish 4 class were having paper airplane competitions. I do not try to fight it at this time of year.

BF is using my car, as his broke down on the feeder road connecting DC with the northern suburbs.He has to drop me off and pick me up. He complains, since he has to get up at 5 am. He really doesn't, because he pokes around for a half hour online. I just look at him, and raise an eyebrow. Really? Been doing this for two years now--your complaints are just so much talk. He sighes and hangs his head.
