Still me.
One thing my therapist has taught me is to stand up for myself.
It has been a hard lesson and yes I do loose friends. Thinking about it, do you really need friends that tell you things like this in stead of supporting you in a silent or friendly way? We all make mistakes and realize when we are wrong. We do not need to be told in detail about them.
Arguments do not have to occur. For instance in your case, you reply could have been. "Excuse me, I know my judgement may have poor in that situation, but it is past now. I don't want to talk about it." If the person continued, say you need to leave. And leave.
Boundaries are important, your right to privacy and respect is important. Someone making you feel like dirt is THEIR ISSUE not yours.
I wish you peace and strength
