Happy Afternoon to Everyone. It sure is a hot one out there today!
I have no exciting news to share except for the fact that my depression has lifted a bit over the past week. Instead of seeing my therapist monthly, I have recently started seeing her on a bi-weekly basis again. I have seriously let so many things go over the past 1 1/2 to 2 years due to the depression and I have been having consistent negative thoughts and awful voices about
how I did not deserve to better myself or have a better life because of the fatal financial choices I made almost 4 years ago. These thoughts and voices have interfered with my trying to study for the several Praxis exams (i.e. teaching) that I need to take/pass to ultimately get my teaching certification.
My therapist gave me three directions to start off with: (1) Book a date and register for an exam ASAP. I did this and the exam date is on 7/25/15. (2) Study, study and study. (3) Walk up a hill (yes, you should have seen my facial expression on this one.) She said I need to start moving around and stop my consistent sleeping in bed.
Okay, I have only walked up the hill 2 times, but I am planning to do this now. Perhaps at night when it is a little bit cooler. I started a little bit of studying and plan to really hit the books after I go to the bank in a few minutes. Last, I have also started cleaning my bedroom and doing LOTS of laundry that I am behind on.
Sorry guys. I didn't mean for this to be long. I just wanted to officially jump back in after being away from here for a year.
Now in regards to others, Michele I hope you surgery went well yesterday and you are able to peacefully recover. And for everyone else, I hope you enjoy your time outdoors.
