Morning everyone.

Cass I think I will look through this big pile of mail. Haven't been up to doing much. I did clean the kitchen yesterday. Will pay bills today though.

Second Sunday in a row with what will probably be an all day 6-8 pain level headache from my neck. I did have an eye opening conversation with someone last night about an alternative treatment for all my issues. Not sure if that is discussed on these boards or not so I'll stop there. It is giving me hope though. I took 2 pain pills that lasted for about 90 minutes but now the pain is coming back. My wife is finishing a seminar for work this morning, so I'm in charge of 4 little ones, 6, 5, 2 and 1. She should be home shortly after noon.

Now i get to go for a guilt trip because I didn't realize we had a first birthday party to go to today. I couldn't have taken the kids had I wanted to, but I also didn't remember to tell them we weren't going to make it. My wife is now upset that she can't handle her professional and family life. She is an overachiever and hates making mistakes. I told her I will start putting our family stuff on my phone calendar so I don't miss things anymore. Now I'm anxious because I will need to calm her down as well as manage all the things I have going on. It's times like this when I am at my limit. It will all pan out, but it is just a lot... Hopefully she can just forget about the forgotten party and take the kids out shopping for my soon to be 5 year olds birthday shopping and I can nap with my son for an hour or so. Then we can take my 5 year old out for her birthday dinner and we can just make the best of this day...

Try not to control everything. Let things happen. Know that there is so much that is out of our control. Relax with the situation. I know, easier said than done.

Good morning Turtle. I hope you are feeling better today.

Thanks for the comments Karen. It worked out ok. We both feel horrible about forgetting the party. Guilt is something I am always working on. I am trying not to feel guilty for worrying the person who invited us and possibly delaying or disrupting the party while they waited for us. My wife was very tired from a very emotionally taxing workshop she does a couple times a year. We have a very strong relationship and are able to recognize these things and come to peace pretty quickly.

I am feeling pretty good overall today. Trying to work on my focus and concentration at work. I have a lot to do but I'm new to this position so I'm trying to figure out how to organize and identify tasks and prioritize them. It is a new role in the same company, so I'm just realizing things that need to happen that I hadn't considered in the past.

Thanks for listening. I just like to talk through things a lot!

Hey kids!

Doing the usual today--jobs apps and minor housework, errands and working out. I really want to get a job. I do so much better when my mind is engaged. Yes, I know--too many jobs foster a lack of engagement.

Looking at soda makers online. I really have to do something about my plastic consumption. I have to go to Costco today, and get some more plastics, errr, salad makings.

Brother called and asked me to take Mom to an appointment on Thursday. We had an almost-situation yesterday--she had diarrhea at her adult day-care. She sometimes get a bottle of milk of magnesia and ODs on it. It's not funny, but it is. Things are devolving.

Jamie!! Monday's stage was awesome, especially with the crash of Gerraint Davies. I can't believe he got up and finished the race, as well as keep his spot in the GC. Our men are still 2 and 3 respectively. I expect great things of the race in the alps. Also have been reading of some of the issues with Team Sky, and the ugliness of some of the viewing public. -sigh- I hope you are feeling better, shelled friend.

I'm doing fair today but my anxiety is high. Finances are tight at home at the moment. Too much fluctuation in income. We are gradually getting better, but down times still get extremely stressful. My coping mechanism is to shut down and hibernate. Not so much depressed at the moment but just extremely anxious. I know depression is not far off from anxiety though. And the reality is we are a phone call away from things turning around, so we are praying for that phone to ring!

Hang tight folks! The ride gets bumpy at times.

And now my Humira is coming on Thursday. I'm actually stressed about starting it given some of the risks associated with it. I feel like I'm shaking right now from stress and anxiety...

CD-You can't really worry about things that you have no control over.

You take a drug,you will either have side effects, or you won't.
If you have side effects, they might go away after 10-14 days, or they might not.
If the side effects don't go away, you can decide whether they are minor or major.
If the side effects are major, you can talk to your doctor.
If you talk to your doctor, you can stop taking the drug.

If you take a drug, there is a very real possibility of that drug making your symptoms less.
If you DO NOT take the drug, well, there will be no change.

I'm not in a very good place this morning. Struggling all around. Everything feels stressful and I just want to go back to bed. I'm tired from the minute I get up and don't feel like I have the will in me to fight. I'm trying to make changes to improve the stress factors, but they will all take time to have an effect.

My pain this morning is in more of my body than usual. My usual pain isn't as bad, at least by comparison. And I have a big situation at work of my own making that I need to fix.

I got the notification from UPS that my Humira package is coming. I hope that gives me quick relief from the pain at least. Maybe I'll start getting better rest and then things will start falling back in line...

cd, you will get better. i send many healing thoughts. yes interesting stuff on the tour. seen cardiologist today. excellent news. cholesterol-lipids, renal function, chest are all excellent. blood pressure up a little. was on half a tab, increase to full. sugars up a tad, but not dramatic. he is really impressed with my lung capacity, weight loss and increased activity. made my day. se him in 6 months. will do bloods and echo then. increased lamictal, decided to not wait a week for the abilify, going to pick up tomorrow. been a busy day. cleaned up, put shopping away, sent some e-mails and posted a bit. been a busy few days, tomorrow i rest. next stage starting soon. love ya guys.

Glad you had some positive news today. I am seeing my pain doc this afternoon. Hoping he can give me something better to help me until the Humira (hopefully) starts to help. I would like something that is extended release so I can just take it and stay ahead of it. I'm taking the norco pretty regularly anyway. The pain meds are working for now and that is improving my attitude and outlook.

Hi everyone!

Whew! Life has been busy! I hope everyone is doing well!

I got a new baby on Monday. She is a lab/catahouka mix and she is 2 months old. Her name is Roxy and she is a handful! LOL! I'm going to visit my bf this weekend and I'm taking her and Chipper to meet his doggie Oreo. This should be fun!

My pain pump is still working wonders! I went to the doc on Monday and everything is healing well. I was skeptical that it would work this well but it's awesome!

Well off to pack for the weekend!

Well now I’m waiting for an xray of my thoracic spine. Then he wants me to do more physical therapy. That will be very difficult to fit in my schedule. Sigh. I’m feeling pretty fried.

I'm in much better spirits today. Still not happy with my doctor and having to fit physical therapy into my schedule again, but some of the other stress in my life has been reduced for the moment. This gives me a chance to try to focus and make some progress on what is in front of me today. Plus my Humira is coming today. Hopefully that helps too!

Countrydad, it sounds like they really want you to do the pt. I think you should try. If it doesn't help, then it is what it is. I don't do good with pt. Have trouble making the many appointments.
