Joyce- I giggle every morning. I'm keeping a notebook with your funnies and I'm going to share them with my students. I really appreciate the time you dedicate to making us smile and smarter! Lol!

So, after my day yesterday, I ended up at the vet with my 21 pound puppy Roxy. She had a huge whelp on her neck/face. I thought she may have been stung by a wasp. But, the doctor showed us the wound. Apparently Roxy wanted to play with my kitty cat and she didn't want too. It was a scratch that turned into an abscess. A few days of antibiotics and all will be fine.

Final teacher workday. Lots of loose ends to tie up today. I'm looking forward to meeting my students on Monday.

We saw that episode of Mythbusters. My guess is that Franklin, a storyteller, jazzed up the event some for his credulent audience.

Happy beginning of the semester Michelle. Our schools start next week as well, due to the massive amounts of snow days expected. With luck, I will only be subbing for a few weeks. I will have to live vicariously through you.

morning, worked real hard yesterday. fell backwards on a metal frame whilst dragging a washing machine which almost fell on me. got my hands cut up a bit. moved matresses and broke up more metal parts from old computer. been getting some good vit d. be good all.

Got the window fixed in daughter's car, can now have the exterminator treat it in case any bugs are hiding in there!

Discovered the bag with my curtains and table cloths wasn't securely closed and everything got wet from the recent rain. Laundry today before the mildew starts! One of the table cloths colors matches my plans for my bedroom so, will put it up in the opening for the closet and block the 'view' of the electrical panel!

Had my daughter at the E.R. for 5 hours last night. She'd sprained her ankle but didn't stay off of it and the pain is much worse. Computers went down there, aide didn't inform nurse of worsening pain, doctor went home without leaving orders for her, what a mess! We finally got home around 1:30 a.m. after visiting the 24 hr pharmacy.

Trying to decide on paint colors...thought I had it figured out but now my girlfriend tells me she finds 'brown' depressing! So, I tell her that the lights are usually off in the bedroom and she shouldn't even notice the brown (caramel) walls! Ha! Cream for the living room I think. Maybe a nice dark red for the lower cabinets in the kitchen with white on the upper ones. Sigh.

My shoulder is snapping like a rubber band stretched to the extreme. My whiplash pain is starting to act up again. I'm frustrated that this whole mess continues for another 10 days at least...Waah! To top it off, I'm still itching all over! Mostly mental I'm sure! No sign of bugs anywhere at least!

Humidity is lower. Think I'll try to get some order restored in the garden today. Cut back the spent sun flowers, move the pots of dead flowers away from the front walk, etc.

How did Twinkies begin?
Twinkies were created in 1930 as ladyfinger-shaped spongecakes.
They were first thought up by James A. Dewar, the vice president of Continental Bakeries who sold under the Hostess brand.

Dewar sought to put the machines used to make cream filled strawberry shortcake to good use when strawberries were out of season and the machines normally sat idle. He got an idea to create a banana cream filled cake.

That’s right. Originally, Twinkies were filled with banana cream, which I suppose explains why they chose to make them look as they do.:
