Glad the week is almost over. This weekend ought to be good--a street festival, football(!!!), the end of the cycle race, and Monday off. Also, the heat broke here,so we have cooler temps and sun.

I am trying to remain upbeat.

I spent a few hours yesterday making slip covers for my patio chairs that we are using in the living room. I used two large table cloths with a fall leaves motif for the fabric. I think they turned out well considering I've never had a sewing lesson and no patterns! Now, my living room looks more like a living room! My neighbor's sister passed away and he is giving me her sofa (guaranteed NO bed bugs in it!) I bought a slip cover for it already!

I've scrubbed one of my plastic dressers and spray painted it. The 'base' is "Dark Walnut" and the drawer fronts are "Cocoa Bean". The two tone look is very graphic and I like the update! What I like most is NOT living out of plastic bags anymore! I hope to get the other dresser done today!

Then, I can go through the rest of the bags and see what has been damaged from rain. It's time to find my 'cool weather clothes' as the season changes overnight here! Shorts and tank tops won't cut it very soon, it's time for jeans and hooded sweatshirts.

My gosh this year went by so fast. I remember you talking about the mushroom festival before. Seems I asked you what kind of mushrooms. Seems you said something about a place that they grew them. Was it where you are now? Can't quite remember how that went. Seems that they were the button mushrooms.

I just can't believe how fast the year went by.

I just want to say, it has been a beautiful day weather wise. I cut some herbs out of the garden, lavender, sage, thyme and sweet and lemon basils. It smells so good in here... I still have Greek Oregano to cut. I have a ton of it, but I love it!!!

I hope you all had a good day too!!! The sky was blue and not many clouds, not too hot, and definitely not cold. Just right!!!

Football today. We didn't do much but watch games. We are off tomorrow to take a long bike ride, after a dentist appointment. I won an Ebay auction for a Hydration pack,one of those backpacks with a waterbag inside. Tomorrow is it's debut.

I have been feeling very centered these past few weeks. I am hoping that it will continue. Time will tell.
