there are so many ways of treating depression, and the full spectrum of depressive conditions and disorders. many of use the combo. meds and therapy, some use the trifecta of meds, allied and medication, some just therapy, others use coping skills and other mindful activities. the important aspect to remember what works best for you is for you. we are all unique individuals, and regardless of the same diagnosis different modalities will be used to best suit the individual and there circumstances. I always stipulate the importance of seeing your gp. some modalities, esp herbs can be toxic with some meds. knowing your pharmacist is useful. and them knowing you. this is my annual mental health advocacy spiel. remember that you can recover, you have to want it though. remember that depression is a medical condition. talk about
it, de-stigmatize it. keep strong.
