I am glad it is warm where you are Pitmom. I hope it is sunny too. Didn't get sunny here like I thought it would. Cloudy again and rain. Better than snow though I guess. So far, no snow. Not typical here.

I hope you are having a good day. We moved our bird feeders to shepherd's crooks. The squirrels keep trying to eat the bird seed and have chewed a hole in the top of one of the feeders. My hubby put grease on the poles so the squirrels can't climb them, we'll see how that works. I have been watching but haven't seen a squirrel try yet.

thx. hi all. seen new endocrinologist today, lovely man. as I am on hrt and have all the hallmarks of cushings syndrome I am being tested. I went on addision Australia, and I may be having issues to the glucocortisol in the testosterone gel over the years, whilst producing too much cortisol.

I have every indicator. keep strong.

HT, goodness! I know the testing protocol can be frustrating for Cushing's. As you know, my daughter was finally diagnosed and had surgery to remove her pituitary tumor last month. Bless You! Feel free to contact me directly if you care to.

yeah, sugars will not come down, skinny legs and arms, big gut, moon face, fatigue, for men, gonadal issues, me, hypertension, occipital neuralgia, headaches, aches in shoulders and hips, arthritis and osteoporosis, brittle bone disease in my family, depression and anxiety. could be men1 and or men2 as well. I have been on hrt all of my life due to a genetic component, and this with the glucocortisol could be a factor. major bloods are being done. thx.

Another sunny day here. Not as warm on account of the wind. Tried a recipe to attempt to make the cookies my great Aunt used to make. This one was close but not quite. My siblings and I have not tasted her cookies in over 40 years but I am determined! Will make quite a nice gift if I can find the right recipe!

Very cold and damp here today. I just want to stay in and drink my coffee. Watching the birds on the feeders. Love that.

Sunny and 'brisk' here today. No visitors to the bird feeders lately. I think it's been too warm and they have enough 'natural' food still available. Some of the sunflower stalks were blown over yesterday, but at least they know where the feeders are now.

Having the 'female flu' today. Blah!

hot here. getting hotter. extreme fire danger weather. in the American scale was around 100. 38c 41c sat with extreme winds.

Supposed to rain today. Mild temps though.

Not sure what I may get accomplished today. Hope it's more than just the usual chores.

Thursday and we have received the rain that Karen was enduring! Thunderstorms now and most of the afternoon. Pitmom, this means cold weather is on its way.

A weather man on the radio late last night hinted at a white Christmas, I will believe it, when it happens.

HT, so sorry more is been added to you already full plate. Perhaps you will get a negative report, this is the prayer I am sending. Indicators have been know to be false.

I get the staying in bed, absolutely forced myself to shower today. Had all intentions to go to support group tonight, really need it.. However taking pain meds, can not stand the level today with the storms. So will not be able to drive. Meds make me tired so it is either on the couch or on the bed with a cuddley blanket. Either way dogs will be close.

Working on the last lap blanket for the nursing home in town. I have managed to make 5 this year. No one else made any, 5 is better than none. I may go to good will and see if there are any throws that are small and in good shape. I have a jar of coins to cash in, I could use that money.

Well, time for more meds. Everyone have a good day, stay safe in all ways.

Trina, you do so much good. I didn't do anything to donate this year. I miss the good feeling I get when I do.

Aww, thanks Karen, I feel as is I did next to nothing this year.

A good thing to do if you have them is to take some books you are not going to read again, to a local nursing home/rehab center. They are always looking for new books. No one ever thinks of the down time these folks have on the weekends and evenings.

Old magazines to recovery/outpatient centers for the art therapy they do. Collages and altered books are huge projects for tapping anger.
You can collect some from you neighbors if you feel brave enough.

Just some thoughts that are less time consuming.

Darkness is back, most likely from the pain level. went to find my heart beat, could not. Pulse, not there! Took half hour and trek up and down the stairs a few times. I was wondering if I was alive or dreaming! I was thinking, heck, now my purpose is gone. Not so still there!

major fires in my state yesterday, was a total fire ban. real hot, dry northerly. got to 43c. cooling down now. internet buggered for days.

been in full reflection of my friends today. one I see like twice a year came by for a few minutes, he is just so fast with life, been thinking about people and reflecting on stuff. I have done more paperwork today, went for a walk, nice day. not much sleep last night, was too chaotic in thought, my shoulders ache bad today. I feel that much learning has taken a-place for me this year, and it is all stuff that is of strength, trust and understanding. I get a bit flippant with terminology at times, it is okay, as it is me, as long as it not becomes effective to others. oh heck.......ramble does the turtle. life is too short for innuendo, stuff ups, whatever it is. I take stock annually, and when required; I take stock in all things, of and from all people, animals and the universe and mindful persons. and from everyone I meet. we all have something to give and to teach each other. bye for now.

Hello all,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I am going through a rough patch and although I know the cause for some of it, I wish it wasn't happening right now. Things are just coming back to normal and now anxiety and depressions tick their hairy little toes in the mix. I wish that the anxiety would go away and stay away for good. I do not like this feeling. It actually hurts me physically to have anxiety. I don't want this anymore. I feel like a bad person for having anxiety, I know that it is silly to feel that way but I do. Well I think I need to lay back down. Stay well my friends.

Remember your controlled breathing to chase that anxiety away.

slow breath in 1 2 3
slow breath out 1 2 3 4, the longer breath out naturally calms the body.

focus on the air coming in and out of your nose and mouth, relax your shoulders, loosen you neck, close your eyes.

Do the breathing at least 5 times.

I have been doing my breathing exercises and I will be doing a short walk here in a few minutes. Anxiety is less today. I did the up and down thing all last night. Ugh! Don't like that at all. This year is the year that I quit sodas. They will be a treat not an everyday drink. I know that will be a good thing for me in the long run. I am feeling better and that is a good sign that things are looking up. I am gonna go and do my short walk. Be back soon.
