Christmas is almost upon us...

Happy Holidays, all!!

Sorry I have been incommunicado. Work is kicking my butt. I am getting better as I experience more.

We are having dinner with SIL's family,and then seeing BIL (sister's husband) over the weekend. I bought a little tree over the weekend, but have no time off other than the day itself. I miss my academic schedule of four weeks off!!

Enjoy your time as best you can. Sometimes when the holiday causes us pain and provokes bad memories,we have to work to find the joy. It is still there.

My John actually has off! Eve and Christmas day! First time every since we are married. This is because he works in the gourmet division of a College now.

So his cousin, mother and Johns mother and I will be celebrating. Playing scrabble as the dinner cooks and of course the to elders with be cheating like they are trying to get into heaven! LOL

I made a Large Apple Cake last night, we had 2 pieces and there is still enough for me to cut it in half stack and ice. Yum. Thank you Karen for the tips.
