My daughter informed me that she was bitten by a bed bug...she killed it...but it is unlikely there is only one!

We just went through a bad infestation over the summer!

I want to scream, cry, throw up!

Pitmom,

I am so sorry for this. I know it is destressing to know that a problem you thought was gone is not but you will get through this. Bed bugs are hard to be rid of. Maybe a professional cleaning is in order. I am not sure how this is done, but I am sure that you will figure it out and things will get better soon hun. Stay calm and level.

I agree, you have a way of conquering Pitmom. You will get through this. It is probably at the better time as you have the settlement to look forward to and it will help you with this too. You may be remodeling more than the bathroom this time. I hope it works out that way for you. I know you just went through this and it took a long time, but I guess I am saying it could of come at a worse time. Hang in there and know we are here for you. I have faith in your abilities.

I've read that a lot of the upscale NYC hotels have them!

Movie theaters are notorious places to pick them up. They love the dark.

The only other place she's been is to her boyfriends and her step mothers.

Either these somehow managed to survive 4 treatments over the summer, or the most likely place was the movies.

And, yes, I'm getting a settlement, but it can take up to 12 weeks to get the check. It will only help if it comes sooner.

So far, we've been unable to find any further evidence. No marks on the box spring or mattress (both have the special bed bug covers on them), no marks on the walls or the floor, no further bites or sightings of live bugs. Clock is ticking.

Try to relax. I understand where you are coming from (I had some works done around my house last summer and it took forever. In the end, results were pretty bad). Nevertheless, it is something that happens no matter how much we plan or try to make things better. Hope this cheers you up!

Thank you all for your warm thoughts. Sorry to say that we are infested again. Praying the settlement check gets here soon. I think, this time, we'll do the 'freeze' method. I can't possibly have all of the animals out of the house for 4 hours, time three treatments, this time of year. I'm screaming inside!

I hope the settlement comes soon so you can use it for the bed bugs. I know how frustrating this must be for you. I am saying prayers for you. Hang in there as best as you can.
