I'm here. My computer is a mess too.
I think my girlfriend is going to quit her job. She does alot of extra work there too, so it will be a big 'hit' to her income. The pressure this year is just beyond her.
The kitchen transformation continues and I should be able to spray paint the range hood next week. Then I'll be able to install the faux tin tiles behind the range.
It's snowing today. Looks so pretty! Not for long though.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Thanks for posting Pitmom, the ads are what are messing me up. They make it hard to post.
I am real happy that your projects are taking place. It is fun to do stuff like that, work, but fun.
I hope you all have a wonderful day. Sun is coming out here, time for a warm up...
Hugs, Karen...
Now, where is Joyce?

Karen....I'm SO sorry to be M I A for so long...it's been a very tough few months for me. Don't wish to ramble on too long, but John (my husband) has been very ill and has signs of dementia. Being a caregiver is exhausting, to say the least.
I've had the impression that things are not that good with you, as well. Not only the trouble posting because of the ads.... but perhaps your life. Hope that's not the case.
about
the ads...I have two options to help me post...not sure what you're facing, and what computer program you have...but I'll share my success approach.
I use Firefox, and have the ability to enlarge or reduce my screen. When I reduce...the top of the ad is now visible, and I can click on a tab that says hide.
Another solution...at the bottom of my screen (when I'm full size) is an arrow that allows me to shift screen left or right. That moves the reply box out from under the ads.
What are you facing...and what have you tried?
I'll do my best to join the check in group each day...and maybe, if things ever calm down...I can start our trivia post again.

The ads aren't in my way but ever since they started, they seem to interrupt with the posting and slow down the computer. Sometimes once the video ad has ran it's coarse, I can post with no problem. But I push a key and nothing happens, the computer makes a noise as if to let me know to start again. I have to click where I am going to post all over again.
I don't use firefox. I use IE. I think it is internet express. Something like that. ( Does anybody know why my touch screen quit being a touch screen. I just had updates and it seem every time I get them, something changes. Just thought I would ask.)
I knew about
your problems with your husband's issues and I know how hard it is to be a care giver. I have been there. I just noticed you stopped posting again. I figured you were busy, but thought I would mention it anyway to see if you would check in and let us know how it is going. I hope things get easier. I am sure you are exhausted most of the time. I truly understand what you are going through.
Thank you for posting and giving advice about
the ads. Luckily I don't get the ones that shoot across the screen. Just the typing problems. Sometimes it takes forever to do a small post. And the video ads are annoying.
Hugs, Karen...

Hi All. I'm sorry I didn't post earlier. It was a busy week at work and I was too tired to post after coming home. I see all of you posting about
ads. I guess I am relatively lucky. Every now and then I have a short video pop up on the bottom right hand side of my computer. Luckily, it hasn't caused too much interference.
I'm struggling with my own disorganization at home. I am so organized in my classroom at work. Yet my house is entirely opposite. I don't know how i can be so on top of things at work, yet let me depression get the best of me at home. I need some serious help on this!!!
Well, we haven't had any more snow in Connecticut. But the weather has gotten so much colder. It's like spring is really teasing us. I'm really craving some warmer weather. Also, I haven't been to the beach in years. I would really like to find some time to go this summer.
That's it for now. I hope everyone has a good night!

Hi all I hope everyone is doing ok. I haven't been around here in a while. I started therapy with a wonderful woman and I believe she's really going to help me. I'm still on my meds and they are helping too. My relationship is going well. Work is a little stressful but I'm getting through it. I'm tired most of the time so I sleep a lot. Also caught a nasty cold and I hope I recover soon.
I suffer from trichotillomania which is a hair pulling disorder. I've been pulling my eyebrows since I was a kid. I have tried many things to stop. Maybe those who are affected too understand how hard it is to stop pulling your own hair. Three days ago I shaved my eyebrows down and it looks weird now but I finally stopped pulling since. I hope this continues. If I pull it and it looks ugly or if I shave it and it looks ugly, what does it matter now. I'm not a big fan of make up but I guess I could work around it and make myself look pretty haha
Thanks for reading.
Pitmom I wanted to ask you how is your daughter? The one who had brain surgery. Is she recovering well? Was the surgery a success?

I can't change. I tried stuff. these expletive ads are counter productive. side, across, empty ones pop - ups, sorry but I am over them. I followed as much stuff as I could, but it not working. I changed to something else that would do it but to
open hw I had to hit the expletive ad button. it is overload. I understand the need for some, but not across ya screen and stuff.
many healing thoughts to andrina cass and joyce and everyone. I am a bit disorientated as well, more in a disassociation, I barely spoke to my sis in the car today. I got some heat gel and patches and some anti inflammatories, and bits and pieces. done some stuff around the place and feeling a little chaotic. keep strong guys.

Good morning all. Jamie I am sorry the ads are so irritating. They seem to be letting me post at the moment.
Cass and Andrina, nice to see you post. I keep mine short to get everything in before the ads start messing with me again.
I hope you all have a good day, Jamie I hope you get good sleep.
I think I am going back to bed for a bit.

Good morning this Sunday....
Karen, thanks for info about
your posting with the ads. Sounds like we each have a different problem, depending on our equipment. Have not had them running across my screen...that's the pits.
What about
Adblocker? I've not used it, has anyone else?
Andria, your disorder sounds so difficult. Good luck with your last solution. Hope something 'works' for you
Cass...keeping organized is tough. You manage at work...must wear you out. Maybe just tackling ONE project and ignoring all the rest would get you started. I'm struggling with the bookkeeping, myself.
Jamie, you keep strong, too. We're all here for you to vent and share.
Hope the heat gel and patches help.
pitmom...the 'problem' you are facing is just overwhelming. I feel so bad for you. No suggestions...no advice... just a lot of hugs. I surely hope you can find an answer and a solution.
All's well with me...so far. John just woke up, so gotta go now. See you later ~ Joyce

Good Morning Everyone,
We finally got a little rain yesterday. We've been in a dry spell since the start of the year.
I use Adguard on my phone. It works really well there. Haven't seen any ad since I started using it. Never tried it on my PC though.
Andrina, I saw a movie about
Trichotillomania sometime last year and was touched by it. I am glad therapy is helping. I'm not a fan of makeup either.
Visited the dentist on Saturday again for some fillings. It seems that I would have to remove one wisdom tooth this year. He's giving me trouble now and then. He's also showing above the gum but growing horizontally towards the other teeth. Not looking forward to this, especially the cost.
Hi Jamie, Cass, Joyce, pitmom, everyone. Wishing everyone a good day!

Good morning UA and everyone else...
good luck with your dentist...I've only got four teeth left. (Can you imagine MY total cost)
Thought my day was going to be quiet and serene until I botched trying to raise the double window shade in the living room. It's completely unwound, and I can't figure out how to remove it from the brackets.
Well, I'll have a dark room today, (until I get one of my sons to help)

Good morning...
Yes, a mild day for us, too. Almost 20 degrees above average
.
Not much that has to get done today. Taking John for a blood test this afternoon is all I have on my plate.
Glad your snow is melting, Karen. We got rid of ours about
a week ago.

Therapy session went well. Long drive there and back but I am home.
We lost a good bit of snow today. Rain tonight and tomorrow.
Time for a new thread...
