Pristiq VS Effexor

On Pristiq third week at 50mg can go up to 100mg next week they say that the no higher dosage then 50mg is benefical was on effexor years ago my energy and mood was better after 3 weeks wondering what some peoples thoughts are my energy is in the gutter making through the day is challenge. I know Karen said the 100mg helped more switching getting second opinon on p doc next month also but by 3 weeks now I figured I would be doing better then I am now. Have some people noticed pristiq does not work for them but effexor does?

I never tried Pristiq.

I am on Effexor ER 150 am 75 pm, it does work well for me along with Lamictal at 50 in am

I have some serious issues though.

Well switched to Efexxor as of today. She also mentioned adding a little ablify may help but holding off on that for now how much did ablify help people?

I take abilify and it helps a lot.

It makes the anti depressant work better.

Well day 3 of effexor and I don't have a headache like I did on the Prisitq for 4 weeks.

The abilify makes that big of difference will see what happens in the next 2 weeks thanks so much for all the info.

Glad the headache went away, I hope that the Effexor works well for you. Keep us posted.

One thing about abilify, it starts working rather quickly. It did for me anyway.
