Hi,

I know that I should not take SJW with 5-THP, as it is quite dangerous.

Does anyone know how long I should wait after stopping SJW before taking 5-HTP?

Any help would be most appreciated. I am trying to battle depression and OCD.

I would probably talk to a pharmacist, or Health food store..they may know the answer..

does St John's Wort work? What are the effects? And how long do you have to take it before it starts working? I went cold turkey from all my meds back in Dec 2004,and know I need to get on something but am scared to go to the doctor as I don't want to become addicted again......

it never went away,I just could not afford to get my meds anymore.

I make every excuse not to leave the house,I have anxiety attacks when I drive,which sucks as I have to go to job interviews.
I know that finding a job will help me in the depression.

Have you tried Holy Basil? You can get it at a health food store, supposed to work very well for depression and anxiety.
