Chris:
I'm glad you have somebody there with you.
Well, if you are thinking about harming yourself, seems like that would qualify for suicidal situation with the hospital.
Are you thinking of harming yourself, or are you suicidal? Sounds like the former choice, so you're saying you don't qualify for the hospital. Is that right?
Oh, I see, the stay in the hospital is not 2 days to a week, but the length of time before admission is 2 days to a week. Right?
But that still leaves the possibility of the ER, right? So, you know if you're feeling bad you can go to the ER. Right? And hopefully get some tranquilizers, is that what it is?
You said, "I am doing very bad" and "It's just really difficult."
Whew! Are we still at 9 1/2? Do you feel you don't want to try an ER again, cause they turned you down the first time?
You said, "They switched my meds in the hospital about 3 weeks ago but things are getting worse. I went to the hospital Friday.. they sent me home. I see the psychiatrist on Tuesday.. if I can make it that long."
After new meds that didn't work, you went into the hospital on Friday. Today is Sunday. You just got out of the hospital on Friday?
They left you on the same meds that were not working by a week or more? And then they let you go? They let you go with no improvement in meds that were not working 1 or 2 weeks prior to that?
Did you see the food items in a previous that can calm you down? Can you your boyfriend get you some of these items if you don't have them?
Health Food stores have items that can help you sleep. I take Power to Sleep at night to sleep, I use to take Melatonin for sleep at night, but it made me groggy in the a.m.
Someone on this site said Alteril (may be Ateril) from health food store. Stillnox (generic?) from health food store was another item mentioned on this web site by a contributor which helped them sleep.
Maybe that would calm you down, especially at night when you want to go to sleep. This is just an idea, whatever you think.
I went to the ER for an Ativan tranquilizer one time, because, I couldn't get to my psychiatrist because of a health problem, and couldn't get it refilled. They did give me that, Ativan, until I could get to my doctor. So it can be done.
Can you tell them that your new meds didn't work if you go to the ER, which is your decision? This may make them understand your situation better.
You do realize you can change your mind about going to the ER, don't you. A heating pad helps me sleep, calm down, etc. Can your boyfriend get you some of these items?
