Great to hear your feeling so good Cass. I actually went to one of those Christian summer camps in the US myself when I was a teenager, it was so much fun. I miss the days when I was so care free.

hi cass, hi everyone. been busy. voted this morning. seen brothers and mum yesterday, cleaned under the couch...interesting collection!!! some coins. as my sis says, later.

le tour de France begins, happy days.

That's right, Jamie!! We watch in the evening--around 5 hours or so after the stage finishes. Routing for Quintana again this year.

Sounds terrific, Derwood. I find being out in nature helps.

started. I checked my ph calender last night at 10.30pm and realized my appts are next week.!! text sis, who would have been asleep, as I was getting a ride, sorry. she works in the wee hours so she would have got it. I did get up and went back to bed. today is a bit of a right off. lol.

Have you ever tried "cascara sagrada"? It is an herbal stimulant that I take along with a stool softener. Just a thought. Might not be good for ibs???

I hope you feel better soon Joan. I know you are going through a lot with this.

Beautiful here, No clouds, Just blue skies and sunshine. Rain later in the week. Hope it goes to plan. We always need rain. All the berries and that apples that are growing now need the rain. Then I can pick them in the fall.

Morning all...

Didn't get much sleep again last night. Three nights in a row of fireworks. My poor dog is going nuts and so am I. I hope tonight is better.

Looks cloudy out. Maybe it will rain.

Cloudy and rainy today. Garden is going like gangbusters! The bee balm is in full bloom, as is the mimosa tree. The trumpet vine has begun to 'play'! Tomatoes have formed as have a few cucumbers and the sugar snap peas are still going strong.

Saturday, a tree across the street fell for seemingly no reason. Further inspection revealed it was eaten nearly all the way through by termites! One of the neighbors brought out his chain saw and cut the felled tree back far enough to allow traffic to pass. Now, I am eyeing the bigger tree that, if it fell, could hit my trailer! Now that the office is open again, I may walk up there to discuss it with them.

My dogs don't care for thunder or fireworks either. One of the things that helped (at least with these two) was taking them outside when these types of noises are happening and distracting them with playing ball. Back inside, they don't pace quite as much. Wonder if it would help other folks doggies, too.

( and you ) finally get a good nights sleep. Weather is hot and sticky
but supposed to cool a bit over the next two days. I was out for a short walk today. Reading tonight I think.

I had a better day, catching up on sleep. Talked to a neighbor about trying to start a petition to get fireworks out of village limits. That would helps some.

There weremoe random fireworks here than usual. Our town's display was postphoned for a few weeks, due to heavy rain. But we live downtown,and I heard booms and crackles all evening and nightlong.

Jamie-watching the tour nightly. Cavendish is not my favorite rider,but I am happy for his early successes. Watching Froome and Quintano stay safe. Yes it can be a little boring, but soon now the team management will give the word and the attacks will start. I do hope you're feeling better today/tonight.

Lots of stuff in the past week. Lots of job applications. BF and I have talked about my getting the master's degree to get certified as a teacher. Last thing I want to do is add to my education, but getting a job teaching is impossible without it. So I applied to my state university's online program, and sent all the random things they want from me. The next step is to do battle over the credits they accept from the 13 years of edjumakation I already have. The transcript analysis I did unofficially shows enough for the English certification, and 9 credits needed to complete the social studies. *sigh* Garden is going strong, except for some of the peppers. Aphids and too much water is my guess. Counseling went well yesterday. Back in two weeks with homework.
