Hi Karen- Thanks for the encouragement. I don't have any medication for anxiety, but I am going to see a new doc at the end of the month. That was the first appointment I could get. I hope I can get some help with getting more sleep too.

Hi Hope,

I hope you get something for anxiety. I also do deep breathing and practice mindfulness. But today I needed the other. I get overwhelmed easily at times. Especially if my mind is going all over the place.

Haven't dropped bye lately but have been thinking of you all. Swimming quite a bit and hoping to go to a concert. Still busy with housework, cooking and chores and with my writing. Hoping all is going well with everybody.

Kayaking with a group of 20 strangers was a real trip. Don't think I'll be repeating it, but glad I went. Person I ended up carpooling with was a bit of a nut case. First time I ever met her, 90 minute car ride (each way) - she's a therapist but ended up basically begging me to provide HER with therapy the whole way. Like I really needed to know intimate details of her life and pass judgement on it!! Really wild!!!

Good thing I'm healthy enough not to get sucked into that, yikes. At least it made a good story to tell y'all and my s.o. when I got home.

96 degrees, "feels like" reported to be 108 degrees. Headache already and I haven't even opened the door!

Gotta' seek out some help for my head/neck/back this week - intermittent vertigo for several weeks, after 4-5 days of thinking it's gone, it comes back. Plus some back spasms... don't think paddling (river motion) helped...

Hey Karen,

I'm trying to recover from the Zika virus. Had symptoms since Tuesday but only went doctor yesterday and got dx. Worst pains I've experience. Will be off from work for a few days. Hope all is okay with you.

Hope you feel better Lynnwood. Sounds like you had an adventurous car ride.

therapist is moving on. the discussion was pretty much at hand, time for me to start standing a little more taller. he has been amazing, and we have agreed for a follow up down the track. he has been offered a very awesome opportunity in a field that he is very passionate about, and he reckons I am on the right track. a bit sad, but hey this is life. shaved me head, no1, and did bloods and urine as I have 2 medical appts next week. keep well. I am still around, just finally have taken some time for me a little. yeah, hard to keep away.

Kayaking was ok - hard to rate it. It's a river I've gone down at least 1-2 times a year for over 30 years! Usually just 2 people, maybe 4 - this was a group of 21 boats!!! Way too many for my taste, most of them strangers to me. I would not choose to go with that many people, especially strangers, again - that was a bummer. But being outside, on water, was a plus.

Better today than yesterday. Friend called with a problem I can go solve for her - always feel better with something to do!!!

I have never kayaked before, but it looks like fun. I like water and being self-propelled, so it could be a match.

Too many meetings too few sleeps. I need to get some of those glasses with wide open eyes painted on the lenses. Then I could catch up on my sleep during meetings.

Week 2, M09. Hope all is fun. And hope you and BF are re-gelling.

Having a lazy day, successfully ignoring all the things I *should* be doing. Amazing that it's only 80 degrees today, and a bit overcast. Dr at 2:30, maybe a little chiropractory on my neck will help my vertigo.

Pitmom, how's the battle with those nasty bedbugs going?

Vacuumed and mopped the floors today. It is hot so they are drying fast.

It is a nice day weather wise. Sunny but kind of hot. I think it will be hot all week. I hate to complain about it because of the weather to come. So I keep my mouth shut and stay in the air conditioning.

Off to comb my hair out and take a much needed shower.

Good day,kids--Week one done. Car hasn't died yet on the two mountains, small molehills really. I guess working for a car dealership means that getting a new car is in the cards sooner than previously expected. Manager seems to get what needs to happen, and basically lets me do what needs to get done. So, rah. Had to cut back garden visits to 2 during the week, which didn't please the cucumbers.

Still hopeful this job will work out.

This weekend is the big wheel race--bicycles from the early 20th century with huge wheels and no brakes--laps around the center of downtown for an hour. It's great fun to watch.

sounds fun.

I need a scotch. off to the bottle shop tomorrow I think. some family stuff going on. my last government loan is paid off. that's a few more biscuits in the account. not much going on, other than some mind numbing drama. I was going to as I call it 'shake some trees', however, I was over-ruled by my sis, only in regards to it not being my issue as she says, nor my responsibility, thus I yielded. it is not often that this happens, I usually just shake the darn tree!!!! be good.

I love a manager with the wisdom to hire good people and let them do their thing.

More tornado warnings and hail. Jumpin' Jeebus on a Pogo Stick, but this is getting tedious. On the other hand, maybe the atmosphere will get this out of its system in time for my upcoming vacation. *crosses fingers*

M09, might I suggest huge, gas guzzling SUV. Nothing says commitment to the brand like 8 mpg. ;-) Think of all the extra C02 you'll be making available for your cucumbers.

Still kinda' "in the weeds"... beautiful day, but can't seem to get myself into the space to enjoy it. Really missing my friend Barbara Lee from the Lupus forum who died early this year. I have some things I want to run past her!!!

I have some Wellbutrin from before -- never seemed to help that much, am wondering if I can use it to help shake me out of this depressed place.

Went to chiro for adjustment, thinking my vertigo was the benign positional stuff with the crystals that is helped by moving the head thru a series of positions. But since I was last there she's gone all "woo-woo" on me and thinks thru "muscle testing"?!! she can diagnose sinus & ear infections and give me Vit C and ear drops. Never had ear drops before, turns out I HATE them!

Crawling in the closet or under the bed doesn't even seem appealing, darn it!

Lynnwood, I am sorry you are still feeling down. Maybe a trip to the doc is in order. Get a new antidepressant that really works. Though I guess you could try the Wellbutrin. But maybe a different one would work better. Either way I hope you feel better soon.

F27, stay safe from the tornados. No fun to have to worry about that.

Jamie, I hope you are getting good sleep. Be careful with that scotch.
