I am happy you and your father have reconciled. I hope you can look past the gf's issues and get along enough to be in the same room together and maybe do it for your dad. I guess you don't have to necessarily like somebody to get along. To be cordial. I am really happy to hear this. I hope you and Lupin are having a good day today!!!

HT, best wishes for a calm trip - I know it will be stressful even if calm.

One more day of antibiotics for sinus/ear infection. I will be glad to get off of them, but grateful that they have helped. They are messing with my sleep and my energy, as well as giving me some gastric distress.

I have a standing appt at the gym, MWF @ 10 - both for mental health and to keep my body moving - stiffen up terribly if I don't get there. This week I've been late all 3 days, just haven't been able to get up, despite 3 alarm clocks. I hate being late... blaming it on the antibiotics, sure hope that's the issue!!

Lynnwood, This may sound strange, but I know quite a few people, including myself that are totally exhausted at this time. Like something strange going on. Maybe just the weather, but on the forum and with friends, all exhausted. It is cooler here today so I feel a bit better, but I have been having these issues for a few weeks. I have infection too and I think it is ear and sinus also. I go to the doc next Friday.

I hope you feel better soon. And I hope you make it to the gym. Better late than never...

Cloudy and rainy here today but always needed. Hubby went to take grandson down to university. I am so proud... He starts on Monday.

I made black berry cobbler in a crockpot. Turned out good. Also making chicken stir fry.

Joyce , I always enjoy reading your trivia. Regarding Charlie Chaplin coming third in the Charlie Chaplin look alike contest, I can see why this could happen when you see him without his trademark mustache...

Derwood... it WORKED ! Really enjoyed viewing Chaplin without his costume. Quite a good looking gentleman. Thanks for posting.

Oh yes Joyce. I have French Vanilla ice cream to go with it. It is a simple recipe that calls for berries, a cake mix and a stick of butter. You don't even have to mix the cake mix. If you want it, I will give it to you. I learned a little trick about it.

It calls for four to six cups berries in the bottom of a 9x13 rectangular pan.
1 yellow cake mix.
1 stick margarine or butter.

I pour the cake mix and cut the butter over top.

Bake 350 for about 45 min.

This last one I did in the crock pot. I melted the butter and mixed it with the cake mix and then put by spoonfuls over the top of the berries. I noticed the first way, the cake mix didn't always soak up. But I did it in the crock pot on high for about 21/2 hours. It was good but juicy.

If you have any questions let me know. The cake mix gives it a good taste.

Don't have a crock pot...so will have to use the rectangle....(and find some berries)

I found melting the margarine and mixing with the cake mix is best. Keeps it from having dry spots. Then I spoon it in clumps over the berries, It spreads as it cooks. Where the cake mix didn't dissolve.

I hope you find some berries.

The heat has taken a lot out of me too. So much that I was exhausted even after it cooled down. We get a lot of humidity too.
