SF:
You posted at 3:15 a.m. in the morning.
What are you doing up at that time of the night?
(You said, "it is hard to sleep." )
I was asleep at 3 a.m., but only because I took "Power to Sleep" from the health food store.
I also take Lithium and Mirtazapine anti-dep., but that alone doesn't get me to sleep.
I also used to have to take Ativan tranqualizer with my other two doctor meds, to get to sleep, but not taking the Power to Sleep.
Because I had neighbors who let their dog bark early in the morning, and if I didn't behave, they would let him bark at 6 a.m.
I wasn't getting much sleep, and was having chest pain.
(Sound sleep machines can also be used to knock out noise from outside, and can be seen and bought on the net.)
I was taking so much medicine to get to sleep, I couldn't get up the next morning until about 11 a.m.
After cleaning the kitchen, cooking, eating breakfast, it would sometimes be 2:30 p.m. before I could get out of the kitchen from eating breakfast.
This morning, I got up at 9:30 a.m. Big difference. Got some extra things done, got out of the kitchen at about 11:30. Big difference between 11:30 and 2:30. Three hours difference.
I was taking Melatonin health food store item for sleep, but it made me so groggy in the morning, I still couldn't get up before about 11 o'clock.
So I switched from Melatonin to Power to Sleep health food store sleep aid, and it made me less groggy.
(from taking the health store sleep aid, I was able to quit taking the Ativan tranqualizer, so I wasn't as groggy in the a.m. and could get up earlier.)
(Also, what's happening is, in addition to getting up earlier, I'm going to bed earlier (12 midnight or 1 a.m, instead of 2:30 a.m.).
That means I'm eating breakfast earlier, and therefore lunch earlier, and therefore supper earlier, at 10 p.m. instead of midnight.
After I eat supper and a snack, I go to bed at midnight or so, not 2:30 in the a.m. So getting up earlier, gets me to bed earlier that night, which gets me up earlier the next day.
Someone on this board also mentioned "Alteril" as a health store sleep aid, and others can be listed and bought on the net, or at a health food store.
