Since Joyce (PA_grandma) is feeling under the weather, I will make an effort to keep her "column" going for a few days until she can get back on her feet. Here's hoping you feel better soon, Joyce.

Hello all, checking in again, glad you're all doing ok.

I'm still very up and down, some days I have good days though, and they've been getting a bit better I think. Still not having much luck with the Drs so I'm just going to stop bothering I think for now. I'll get my medicine sorted and then leave it for a while, just focus on my therapy and try to do what I can.

I'm wondering whether I have something like fibromyalgia with this constant chest pain. I don't really have pressure points though so I don't know what to think. The pregabalin hasn't really helped much with it, but I think it has helped me feel a little less anxious.

Good tip, F27--I dumped a cup of baking soda--twice the detergent, a pair of jeans, a towel, my LL Bean sandals(!!), and a wrist brace in. Then--a cup or so of vinegar. Obviously, no dryer. I can't smell anything--and my nose works pretty well. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Nothing disintegrated.

I remember when my ex worked for a firm that built fly and light systems in theatres. He could trash clothes quickly--so I took monthly trips to Goodwill.

I am feeling some better, Karen. I wonder if my body wigged out due to the gas?

Myself, you could of maybe. Toxins you know. I hope that you will feel better now.

Andy, I Don't know if I am spelling this right but costochrondritis often accompanies fibromyalgia where the muscles in your chest hurt bad. I get muscles spasms in my chest and they are really uncomfortable.

Well I think I made up for "not eating" yesterday. It got cold quite quickly here in the GREAT NORTHEAST and I really believe I ate to get warm.

Have had an awful situation with a wort on the side of my foot. Did not realize it could be such a big deal and so very painful.

Hope to go to class today (studying Latino/Latina literature). My little business is doing very well and I have found some fascinating books to read.

So life is good except I can hardly walk.

There is nothing so wonderful as complete defecation.

Forgetting my meds yesterday didn't help the situation. But the gas spill was a week ago now,so it is wearing off.. Y'know,my self-image is not one of fragility--but my body reminds me there is a fundamental difference between spirit and physicality.

BF has made two beautiful dinners 2 nights in a row! Salmon with blackened green beans and chickpeas,with a mustard yogurt sauce. Then-cuban pork with mojo, greens beans,and quinoa.

Must go be productive.

Ugh. After last weeks nightmare with UPS, some things are coming FedEx this week... and I guess the label had only part of the address. FedEx was smart enough to realize this and call... I do wish they hadn't done it at 6:40 am!! When you normally need to sleep 12-10am to feel good, that is a terrible time to wake up, and of course couldn't get back to sleep.

Hoping food & meds make me feel better soon!

Joan, I am in Michigan and it is freezing here today. Don't even want to go outside.

Myself, I am Happy bf is cooking for you. I could use a couple day break. I did make stir fry yesterday so I don't have to cook today if I don't want to. Yippee!!!

Lynnwood, I am glad FedEx called you and got the address right. I am still getting mine changed to what it is suppose to be with the department of motor vehicles. Working on it. It is so frustrating.

Doctor appointment Friday afternoon....... suspect it's heart related, already diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia.

Rainy today...we need it.

Finished grandsons' costume just in time to go to the party here yesterday. He's picked another anime' character...Kiroto. Might be the last costume I make for him...he's 15 now.

Found some cute turkey shaped plastic place mats at K-Mart yesterday. Thinking of stapling them to some wood garden stakes for decorations next month. We bought a 3.5 ft inflatable turkey that I will put at the rear entrance to my lot. Can't wait to 'stuff' the cornucopia and put it out on the trailer hitch! I've a bunch of other Thanksgiving themed stuff to use this year. Of course, the large scarecrows will welcome my guests at the front arch again.

We're pretty close to the coast and haven't had a hard frost yet, so the mums and other plants still look good. It's supposed to be in the mid to upper 60's next Wednesday, so I'll probably do the change over then.

Whatever it takes to fight the 'winter blues'!

We got snow last night. Everything was white this morning but it is now melting. Yay!!!

Your yard sounds awesome Pitmom. Glad you decorate. I use to but not so much anymore. I use to make grave stones and scarecrows. It was fun. I would dress up to pass out candy. Now we barely get any kids.

Raining, cold, dreary. Tutoring.

I lost my main thumb drive about a month ago. I checked all my various drives and was only missing one important document. I just now realized where I could find a copy! This pleases me more than you can know.

BTW-I just finished Reamde. Good book--though I was frustrated during the final 100 pages. One of my favorite things is to use maps or photographs to ground myself in this kind of moving battle. Yeah--there aren't that many photographs available of Northern Idaho.

I'm so happy for you, M09. I have a ridiculous amount of paranoia when it comes to losing files, and I've experienced the sense of relief that accompanies finding one that I thought was irretrievably toast.

Had a meaningful head shrinking session today. Talked about trust (I'll trust you with my credit card, but not with my secrets), and a particular self-help author who I thought was a whiney beeyotch that needed to man up. And then we talked about my lack of feelz.

Tim Tam - the cop quote made me laugh.

Is anyone else watching The Exorcist TV show? It's a not that great - writing is hacky, but the acting is acceptable and it's creepy and atmospheric. Imana watch it again with Mrs. 27 Halloween night in the basement with the lights off. Not only will it be creepier, but we can pretend not to be home and keep all the candy for ourselves.
