My cat was not moved in the slightest by the :37 second "free sampler". Of course, she was busy basking the the morning sun, and at 16.5 years is pretty set in her ways.
Shadow has lots of cat toys, but instead of buying new ones I just drop the ones she's tired of in a container of catnip and bring them out again in a few months. Works great!
Since she's old and doesn't have the greatest appetite anymore, I probably spend more money on cat food than ever before - I really take a lot of time making sure she eats twice a day, even if it means carrying the food over and sitting it beside her.
That doesn't mean she isn't purr-fectly healthy or that she doesn't make lightening rounds of the house daily!! She'll come bursting in from the patio, across dining room table, living room furniture, upstairs into the catbox, digs to China, then bounces thru the bedroom, including leaping on/off the bed, making a lap thru the office, on/off the desk, bounds downstairs & back out again... crazy flying furry-ness!
Good company, that she is!
(Although she isn't my favorite today - silly thing woke me at 5:30 am 'cause her wet food bowl was empty, and I couldn't go back to sleep. Feeling that missing 3 hours, I am!)
