I totally get what you are saying.
However, one day is ok even two. When we "give in" to our depression for more than that, I see it as "letting the monster win".
Grant it, I have taken 3 years to get to this point. I talk me self into not punishing the punished. Marinating in my muck.
Ask myself, "Why am I giving another day away?"
"How is this serving me?"
I know if I get up, shower and at least walk 10min. today, tomorrow I get out. SO I push hard.
HERE ARE COPING SKILLS THAT I USE MINDFULLY TO OVERCOME the wanting to hibernate feeling:
Setting Alarm on my phone 3 different times an hour apart. Leaving inspiring messages for myself
COLD water on face in am when I use the bathroom
Journaling
Gratitude list
TP; I am not on Jerry Springer, etc...
these are just a few.
