Thanks for listening. I've been continuing to go to the partial hospitalization program since July. Yesterday I got frustrated with my primary doc. Actually I was depressed before that but anyway, I went to my docs office to have a form filled out for a car accident I was in. I gave it to the receptionist who gave it to his assistant. She came out acting totally *****y and just started telling me YOU never had an appointment for this... You were never evaluated for a car accident...and You need to have an appointment for this. She was totally rude.
I've been treated by the doctor several times for my sciatica, I thought I told him about the car accident but it is possible I never told him. I didn't realize the problem was from the accident right away. I had some back pain.. it didn't happen right after the accident.. but I kind of ignored the pain. My boyfriend kept telling me it's a bulging disc... go to the doctor.
So my doc didn't take me seriously, kept giving me naproxen. I finally after several ER trips ended up in the hospital on a 5150 because the pain was so bad I wanted to die. The did an MRI and found out it was a bulging disc pressing on my sciatic nerve. So I followed up with my doc. He said ya, just what I though, typical sciatica. He told me his patients don't normally Act like this. Cause I was angry about him not giving me pain meds. He also asked me why I kept going to the ER??? I'm sorry but why the F would I be going t6o the ER? Cuz it's fun?
In the meantime I made an appointment with a physical medicine and rehab doc. It took a month and a half but I got in. He showed me the MRI on the computer and told me this problem is quite severe and may require surgery. First he want's me to try getting injections. And guess what???? He prescribed me pain medicine!
When I told him about my other doc..who I've had for at least 15 years and he said well obviously he's never had sciatica.
Anyway.. sorry this is so long.. it sure feels good to get off my chest,
