A lot of people are complaining about how the people in the streets need to be taken care of, but How? It's sad, but it's out there and it's a good time to bring up the debate again that insurance in the USA has got to get better for metal health and dependence health too...it's not just one issue to be swept aside, but the upcoming SuperBowl doesn't help. Many people wander the street and some due to mental health issues and they need help, long term, but insurance only gives so much time and then wamma it's over, it's not right or fair. Some of it is that medications are over priced and then wamma people are back in the streets.
Also those addicted to illegal drugs need long term care as well, maybe if they had longer term care to help with those that abuse drugs...
However, once the SuperBowl is over this issue will once again be kicked to the curb or thrown under the bus, it's sad, so very sad...Of course, it's sad there are people that just need jobs, that are also wandering the streets, but my focus for this is the mental and dependence issues.
What are your thoughts, better insurance for mental and subtance abuse, will that help or make it worse?
it's sad, we are a 3rd world nation and still need to work on these issues, wow...
(Lets keep this kid friendly as a discussion, please...)
