If Pa Grandma is having computer problems, and can't communicate with this HW help line, how does Karen figure out that Pa Grandma is having computer problems and that's why she's not communicating with this help line?

It's kind of like those computer fix it lines, which tell you when your computer goes down, simply e-mail them about the difficulty. How are you going to e-mail them if your computer is not working!?

I can't remember if she posted it or emailed it. But I remember awhile back she said that the computer was giving her problems and that it was old and wearing out. I do think I remember her saying she was going to take a break too. But maybe it was because it was hard to get on HealingWell. My memory isn't too good but it seems to me she said these things in the past. Before the holidays. Plus she was working on her figures that they make for the holidays. It would be nice to have her back. I enjoy her posts.

You are right about PA Grandma. She did say that. I haven't gotten an email or anything. I hope she gets a new computer. I know it was going on the blink.

We left the house about 7:15 or so, and drove the 30 minutes to the closest metro. It was hard to find parking, but we finally did and joined the line around 8:30. The station loads from each side, with only one entrance on each side. There were 2-3 orderly lines feeding into each entrance, and the lines reached the end of the metro property. The bus permits (They had 2000 for RFK Stadium) for the march sold out, so there were chartered buses dropping passengers at metro stations. Metro staff was only letting small handfuls of people with the arrival of each new train. Around 11 AM--people started calling cabs and Ubers. We held tight and finally got into the station around 11:30.

People were leading cheers and chants, sing-a-longs, waving signs, and doing the wave while waiting. Most said that if this was the march for them, here at the metro station, that was fine.

The trains were packed. Our plan was very loose--depending on the size of the crowds in metro stations. We could stay on the same line and walk--or we could transfer and get dropped closer. We elected to transfer--time was getting short as the march was due to begin at 1:15ish.

We started walking towards the capitol building around 12:45. Scott needed a bathroom. The first porta potty line we tried got closed down--they were full. The same thing happened at the second, and was happening all over the March area. The third line of porta potties was still open, and he gratefully joined it. Afterwards--people started streaming orderly towards us--and we were told that the march was forming to head to the White House. We joined in.

There were so many people everyone was kind of shuffling instead of walking. Young adults, parents with kids, middle-aged, elderly with walkers and wheelchairs. The march stopped for several minutes, and then we would move a few yards and stop again. But everyone was singing and chanting and taking pictures and talking with everyone around them. So--about 2:15 or so, we manage to pass a woman with a bullhorn--the organized march had been cancelled, as there were too many people on the route. She was telling everyone to take to any street we could find and head to the White House. So, we all did. We finally got to an area with a big jumbo tron. We stopped for a bit to eat and rest, while the line of protesters quietly and joyfully kept shuffling on. We watched Madonna sing and threaten the president (which apparently the FBI is investigating.) We re-joined the throng--and got near the Washington Monument.

We decided to try to find a metro and head home. It was hard to find the entrance, because there were so many people standing, marching, dancing, singing, protesting. After some aimless wandering, we found the line for the metro. The Metro officers did a great job managing the crowds. We squeezed on a train for about three stops--but then got stuck waiting in a transfer station for the right train to take up back to station we started at. We were there about 45 minutes. Train were coming and going, but they were too full. We finally squeezed on--and got back to the station at 6:30.

My legs were shaking at this point and my torso and arms were throbbing. I never fell, but did have complete strangers holding me up on occasion. I am in a lot of pain today. Photos to follow.

What an awful start to 2017 for Iran. That tallest building in Iran is gone. It caught fire and then collapsed.

Good morning friends.

Thought I'd better pop in and say hello before we lose power. Like a lot of the country it's very windy and rainy here today. My granddaughter's school just closed down because of an outage.

A brief 'update' on the toe subject.
Surgeon believes my foot....oops, lights are flickering. I'll post this now before I'm gone.

Pitmom, I bet the spring flowers are going to be lovely. I got some small orchids that have buds on them again. I love orchids.
