Welcome to the forum.
You have one of the most stressful jobs I can think of.
The one thing I can tell you positively is that there is no NORMAL. Everyone has fears, anxiety and puts masks on to hide how weak they think society would perceive them. If only we talked openly to each other, it would be so much better. This is not reality though, why we are left with is taking care of ourselves, so we can help others.
Right now I think your are in a place having to stay positive, teaching, hoping somewhere a light will go on and it will give the child and better life further down the line.
For whatever reason they ended up in your classroom, it is a sad situation. You feel that you need to be a point of light for each and every child.
Truth is you, yourself can not save them all. As much as you would like to.
YOU need the love, kindness and compassion to be turned onto yourself, that you give to other people.
I believe if you look into therapy it would be helpful. Perhaps once a week for a few weeks, then down to once month. Even therapist go and talk to someone once a month or more. We all need to vent to someone how gets our emotions, validates how we feel and remind us we are human and not a failure.
I hope this helps.
Peace
