I always had anxiety but this time it started out with just feeling sad, down unmotivated. I'm guessing thats depression? I had those feelings before I stated zoloft too but my anxiety was more dominant. ZolofT helped. How do I stop feeling this way?

Have you talked to your doc about
the anxiety? There are some antidepressants that have anxiety medication in them. Maybe a switch is necessary. Or adding an anxiety medication to what you are taking now.
There are other ways to fight anxiety. Mindfulness is one. Deep breathing exercises help too. If it is the depression that is bad right now, an increase or a switch may be in order. Either way let your doc know what is going on. Sometimes it is hard to identify symptoms, but your body is trying to tell you what is going on.
I hope you get to feeling better soon Dog1216. Depression and anxiety are no fun.
Hang in there. "mindful.org" might be a good place to start. Meditation helps too.

Dog,
There is no "cure" for anxiety or depression.
What can be done, is a person learns how to control the triggers and emotions. This is done with COPING SKILLS.
I suggest have a honest conversation with the doc that prescribed the Zoloft.
Peace
Trina

mindfulness helps. art, poetry, expression is important in combating this illness. zoloft may be the wrong med, usually for mild depression. as trendy say, a chat with ya doc is warranted. keep posting, keep busy, it helps. and yes meditation. remember the turtles ol' mantra, slow and steady wins the race.
