CPP (D) Approved :) - Help Please?

I am new here and I checked some old threads regarding this issue but I need some questions answered..if possible.

I just got word today that my CPP (Disability) was approved.

However, I have been receiving 75% on LTD from Manulife since May/2014. At the two year mark (expected) they had me apply back in 2016. Of course I was denied ..blah blah blah. No biggie as it was expected. Didn't hear back from Manulife for a good 6 months (Basically they (M) had said they would only contact me for an update). Then after there was a bit of a "glitch" where they didn't acknowledge the refusal for my CPP (D). In short, they were very good about it and told me to apply again and if they refused Manulife would decide where or not to go forward with the appeals process.

So, I started a whole new application as if it were the first time. Remember, the last one was refused last year but Manulife missed the appeal process and had me apply again.

So, today I received word that my CPP (D) was approved.
Now, I have a few questions.
First, CPP told me that the retro active payment goes back to June 2016. This is very strange because I was actually refused (August 2016). In any case Manulife got all the retro payments from June 2016 to this June 2017.

I see by the payment schedule that anyone on CPP gets paid June 28th. Since CPP paid Manulife June's 2017 payment does that technically mean I should not see a difference in Manulife's full payment to me this June 30? Manulife pays the last day of each month.

Also, Is it fair to say that my income will NOT change per month and that the amount the CPP payments that Manulife got are what will be deducted from my Manulife? Again, I am just concerned that my total monthly income will/will not change now that CPP is involved.

As a note, I worked for the Hospital and in our Union agreement we are allowed 75% of total income which is what I have been getting from Manulife.

To anyone who has insight on this or can re-direct my question to the right group and/or thread I would truly appreciate it.

Well, the weird thing is I applied in May (2016), hence my confusion but that's not a big deal and I can call Service Canada regarding the actual dates.

CPP gave a certain amount from June 2016 - Dec 2016 - 7 months, then a "bit" of a higher amount Jan 2017 up to and including this month. My hope is that Manulife will just pay my regular pay on June 30th and deduct CPP on July. I would also assume that CPP will not be paying me on June 28th since they already paid June 2017's payment already.

So am I to assume then that my monthly income won't change and that all this means is two parties are paying me instead of one (Manulife)??

So, again I plead ignorance. CPP doesn't replace Manulife....right??
Manulife still does pay me correct?? Just now the CPP will be deducted.

So in other words, enjoy it now until I reach 65??..LOL

I just hope there is no bleed over from Manulife come the end of this month. I hate having to chase people for money.
I have to admit Manulfe have been absolutely amazing with me compared to other stories I have verbally heard and read about. I must be an extremely lucky and fortunate person....well, in one way I suppose.

I have another question.
I just received my "official" letter in the mail today stating that I am approved for CPP (D).
It states that "Please note that payment starts four months after you are deemed to have become disabled."
So, Manulife received retro payments from June 2016 - June 2017 (inclusive).
Just wondered if anyone had any insight as to this might take place and if this is the norm for everyone??
